Theme Parks
Scream Break is underway at Six Flags Magic Mountain (Valencia, CA). This after-hours event includes 2 haunted houses, 3 scare zones, specialty food, and ride access. This past weekend Philp & Emily from the Haunted Attraction Network tried every maze and scare zone to prepare you for your visit.

Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights returns on select dates from September 1st through October 31st for a record-breaking 44 nights. This year’s HHN will bring guests’ worst nightmares to life within 10 all-new movie-quality haunted houses inspired by everything from top names in terror and pop culture to unfathomable original abominations devised by the twisted creators of the event. Guests will also navigate five scare zones filled with hordes of gruesome creatures and enjoy outrageous live entertainment. There will also be a frightfully delicious menu inspired by the event’s sinister lineup, themed retail locations, and all your favorite Universal rides & attractions. Tickets are on sale now starting at $79.99 for Single-Night General Admission with Express Pass, R.I.P. Tour, and Behind-The-Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour tickets available for additional fees.
Conventions & Mixers
Tickets are now on sale for the Midwest Haunters Convention Pre-Convention Haunted House Bus Tour. This year’s tour is headed to Detroit, Michigan, to tour three haunts: Hush Haunted Attraction, Eloise Asylum, and Erebus Haunted Attraction. The Pre-Convention Haunted House Bus Tour can be purchased with or without a bus ride. The price of the bus ride is $375 per person. The price without the bus ride (drive yourself) is $295 per person. Prices increase after May 25th to $395 with the bus ride and $315 without the bus ride.
Terror Tours has announced their 2023 Texas Terror Tour lineup. October 6th – 8th, spend three fright-filled nights visiting 5 haunts in the Houston area: Purgatory Scream Park, 13th Floor Houston, Terror Isle, Creepy Hollow, and Phobia Haunted Houses. The tour will include full show tours, lights-on experiences, and more. Tickets are available now for $205 early bird pricing. Hotel rooms are available at the event’s host hotel, Staybridge Suites: IAH Airport East, starting at $105 per night. Terror Tours is sponsored by Froggy’s Fog.
Mark your calendars: Fear Expo will return to the Owensboro Convention Center (Owensboro, KY) on April 12th – 14th, 2024. More details will be posted in the coming months at the event’s official website.
Education
The Chamber of Haunters will host their next G.H.O.S.T. (Global Haunters Optimal Safety Training) course on Thursday, April 13th at 7:00 p.m. EDT. The topic will be Crowd Control. Members may take this course for free; non-members must pay $10 per course per person. To attend, please email [email protected] no later than April 9th, 2023.
U.S. Haunts & Events
Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group (North Hollywood, CA) proudly presents “F*cked Up Easter Egg Hunt.” Two weekends only (April 7th – 9th & 14th – 16th) discover & uncover the origins of Easter and find out the dark truth behind the “Bunny” and his “Eggs”. Enjoy this super-fun, wonderfully weird, and whimsically interactive theatrical Springtime event with all your friends at Zombie Joe’s Underground, but leave the kids at home. This event is for attendees ages 17 and up. The show features live music by Kevin Van Cott, Directed by Jorge Lozano and Produced by Zombie Joe. Tickets are on sale now for $20 pre-sale, $25 at the door.

Pluto TV is celebrating Halfway to Halloween with “April Ghouls”, a month-long celebration filled with spooky programming. The streaming service will dedicate programming blocks around the releases of Evil Dead Rise and Renfield, howl at April’s full moon, unleash Found Footage marathons, and more.
