Limos: Immersive Tarot Experience Returns to LA for Earth Day Weekend

DrownedOut Productions, in partnership with the Immersive Art Collective, has announced the return of “Limos,” an immersive psychic experience that combines elements of Greek mythology and horror, for a limited run this April 18-20 in Downtown Los Angeles.

Event Details

The 15-20 minute intimate experience, which first ran during the 2024 Halloween season, will be held at 1039 S. Olive St, Downtown LA, 90015. According to the press release, the show “weaves together elements of Greek mythology and immersive horror to tell a tale of greed and destruction.”

Tickets are priced at $40 per private showing for parties of up to 5 people. Show times will vary each evening. Tickets can be purchased through TicketTailor.

Previous Reception

Following its initial run in October 2024, “Limos” received positive reviews from immersive entertainment publications. NoProscenium’s NYC Correspondent Alec Zbornak described it as “an impressive debut from a talented new voice in the immersive industry.”

In his review, Zbornak detailed the experience: “Upon entering a backroom shrouded in tapestries and blankets, audience members are seated at a psychic table and begin the reading led by actor Malee Callahan. She picks three tarot cards representing one audience member’s past, present, and future — the last of which spins her into a frenzied story joining Greek mythology and Christian scripture.”

The production features live performers, custom lighting, and sound design. Zbornak noted that creator Jackson Mancuso “has studied his immersive theater and hand-selected some of its most effective technical and narrative elements.”

Stepping Out

“This is our first time stepping out and creating something on our own from our day jobs working as theme park designers,” Jackson Mancuso stated in the press release. “We really threw in every tip and trick we knew to create both unique individual moments and a compelling overall experience for audience members. This show really is our little love letter to all things horror and immersive, and we hope you all get the chance to join us this April!”

Mancuso, who originally produced “Limos” for a two-night run during the 2024 Halloween season, currently works as an Associate Production Designer at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Earth Day Weekend Run

The April 18-20 engagement coincides with Earth Day weekend. While specifics about the show’s content are limited, the press release indicates themes related to “greed and destruction,” with the NoProscenium review mentioning “a dramatized and well-acted parable about human greed and environmental destruction.”

DrownedOut Productions describes itself as “a new immersive theater group in Los Angeles specializing in Horror Experiences.” The company can be followed on Instagram at @DrownedOutProductions.

The event is being presented in partnership with The Immersive Art Collective (IAC), a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts and entertainment organization.
