CLEVELAND, OH – September 26, 2025 – Gothic horror instrumentalists Midnight Syndicate have released Darkened Corners, an EP compiling previously unreleased and rare material spanning two decades.
Rare and Unreleased Material
The EP features music originally composed for amusement and theme parks, selections from the band’s live shows, and unreleased tracks from film projects that never reached completion. It also includes a remix from the score to the band’s 2010 horror film The Dead Matter. Album artwork was created by French artist Pascal Casolari.
“We’ve wanted to share this material and make it more readily available for a while now,” the band said in a statement. “It gives fans a glimpse into some of the other projects we’ve undertaken when not working on studio albums.”
Recent and Upcoming Work
Earlier this year, Midnight Syndicate completed the original score for Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas, Universal Destinations & Experiences’ first year-round horror attraction. The group is currently developing its next full-length album, scheduled for release in 2026.
“This next album has been in development for a while now,” noted composer Edward Douglas. “We’re really happy with the direction it’s heading and are looking forward to next year. In the meantime, we hope Darkened Corners gives everyone a few more tracks to consider for their Halloween listening this season.”
