Graveyard Games is making its debut at this year’s Universal Orlando Resorts Halloween Horror Nights. The story goes like this: Two teens have awakened the spirits of the dead at Ascension Parish Cemetery with their disrespectful antics, and it looks like everyone who ventures into the cemetery will have hell to pay. Guests enter the cemetery and wander through dark mausoleums and decaying piles of coffins. Soon, ghosts of every shape and form begin to rise from the tombstones to exact their revenge as guests desperately try to escape through the maze of crumbling tombstones and mausoleums. Skeletal beings, ghastly apparitions, and vengeful spirits attempt to drag the fleeing guests into the graves. Before it’s all over, it becomes clear what happened to those two derelict teens.
Before entering the haunted house, guests have the opportunity to chat with a few local teens and storytellers of the town. Beginning on September 6, guests can access the Halloween Horror Nights page on Facebook messenger to learn the history and spooky legends of the cemetery to try to better prepare for what awaits them.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort is open from September 6–November 2 and features 10 haunted houses, five scare zones, shows, and more. Tickets, vacation packages, and other information are available online.
