Reese’s has named 150 streets as the best in America for trick-or-treating, at least two in every state and Washington, D.C., and scored each one twice: a Haul Score for candy and a Haunt Score for how haunted the street is. The top Haul Score, 99.0, went to S 13th St. in Philadelphia.

Note: I may earn a commission if you buy through some links in this article.

How Reese’s Scored the Streets

Reese’s says it analyzed candy, costume, and Halloween decor purchasing, Census data, walkability, and local reputation, along with a survey of 15,000 residents, to pick the 150. Its results page sorts each score into three tiers:

  • Haul Score: Jackpot is 90 and up, Big Haul is 85 to 89, and Solid Haul is under 85.
  • Haunt Score: Ultra Haunted is 90 and up, Haunted is 85 to 89, and Lightly Haunted is under 85.

Of the 150 streets, 36 have a Jackpot Haul Score, 62 are Ultra Haunted, and 24 are both. Reese’s lists what went into the picks but not how either score is calculated.

The 10 Highest Haul Scores

  • S 13th St., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: 99.0
  • N Burling St., Chicago, Illinois: 98.6
  • N Bernard St., Chicago, Illinois: 97.9
  • Beals St., Brookline, Massachusetts: 97.9
  • Rutland St., Boston, Massachusetts: 97.9
  • Brook St., Brookline, Massachusetts: 97.2
  • Kenilworth St., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: 97.0
  • Fair Oaks St., San Francisco, California: 96.4
  • W Wilson Ave., Chicago, Illinois: 95.8
  • East Capitol St. NE, Washington, D.C.: 95.2

Eight of those 10 streets are in Philadelphia, Chicago, Boston, and Brookline, Massachusetts.

The Highest Haunt Scores

  • N Tejon St., Colorado Springs, Colorado: 99.2
  • NW 18th St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: 98.4
  • West Blvd., Rapid City, South Dakota: 97.8
  • S Manito Blvd., Spokane, Washington: 97.6
  • Scarborough Rd., Cleveland Heights, Ohio: 97.5
  • Albemarle Rd., Brooklyn, New York: 97.4
  • W Minnehaha Pkwy., Minneapolis, Minnesota: 97.1
  • Brookside Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri: 96.9
  • S Wolcott St., Casper, Wyoming: 96.8
  • N Broadview Ave., Wichita, Kansas: 96.4
  • Bryant Ave. S, Minneapolis, Minnesota: 96.4

N Tejon St. runs through Colorado Springs’ Old North End, where Reese’s says residents welcome costumed crowds for all of October. Two streets tie for 10th at 96.4, so this list has 11.

Southern California Streets on the List

Four of California’s eight streets are in the Los Angeles area:

  • W Clark Ave., Burbank: Haul Score 86.6, Haunt Score 82.1. Reese’s calls it Burbank’s Halloween main street and says to start near Hollywood Way.
  • Motor Ave., Los Angeles: Haul Score 81.9, Haunt Score 86.2, in Cheviot Hills.
  • E Alegria Ave., Sierra Madre: Haul Score 81.0, Haunt Score 80.4, with rows of sculpted pumpkins.
  • Diamond Ave., South Pasadena: Haul Score 86.9, Haunt Score 87.3. Reese’s says the route runs near “filming locations from the 1978 horror classic.”

Burbank also has 11 home haunts on my Southern California home haunts list, which covers 127 homes that turn into Halloween attractions.

The Halloween Council and the October 21 Winner

The winning street will be named on Wednesday, October 21, by a five-person panel Reese’s calls its Halloween Council: Christina Ricci, Kathy Najimy, and creators Rachel Iwanyszyn, Zaire Alford, and Macy Blackwell. The street gets a Reese’s block party, put on with Zillow.

“The best Halloween streets aren’t just the ones that decorate or have the biggest budgets,” said Christina Ricci, Reese’s Halloween Council member.

Reese’s Halloween Candy in 2026

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups lead 17 states on DoorDash’s map of each state’s Halloween candy, which I covered in my Halloween candy by state article. In a Hershey survey cited in the announcement, 41% of people said the perfect Halloween block is one where everyone participates, and 39% pointed to streets filled with trick-or-treaters.

The Reese’s Pumpkin Bowl, new this year, packs 110 snack-size treats into a reusable pumpkin container and is sold only on Amazon: Reese’s Pumpkin Bowl on Amazon. The rest of the company’s lineup is in my guide to Hershey’s 2026 Halloween candy.

Reese’s results page, with a description of each street, is at hersheyland.com/trickortreatiest. I’ll update this page when the winner is named on October 21.
