Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort 2026

Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort runs August 21 through October 31, 2026. Here is what is new, what is returning, what got cut, and how the season fits together across both parks, Oogie Boogie Bash, and the hotels.

Anaheim, CA — Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort opens Friday, August 21, 2026, and runs through Halloween night, October 31, across both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. The Coco-inspired Plaza de la Familia runs slightly longer, through November 2. The separately ticketed Oogie Boogie Bash opens three nights earlier, on August 18, and runs on a record 33 select nights through October 31.

Most of the 2026 lineup returns from 2025. A handful of items are new, one longstanding entertainment offering is retired, and the season’s broader structure has shifted in ways that are worth planning around.

What is new for 2026

  • Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake, A Haunted Mansion Street Party: a new Haunted Mansion-inspired street party at Oogie Boogie Bash, replacing the Frightfully Fun Parade. Full breakdown of the street party is in the SES coverage of the announcement.
  • Yzma joins the Oogie Boogie Bash villain roster: the villainess from Disney’s The Emperor’s New Groove was teased on July 14 as a new addition to the Bash’s treat-trail villain lineup. This is Yzma’s first face-character appearance at a U.S. Disney park.
  • The Headless Horseman becomes a standalone roaming experience at Oogie Boogie Bash. In prior years he opened each of the two nightly Frightfully Fun Parade performances. In 2026, with the parade retired, he and Ichabod Crane roam Disney California Adventure at select times during the Bash.
  • World of Color returns as ONE, not Happiness!, running from August 10 through the Halloween season at Disney California Adventure. Happiness! ends August 9 with the Disneyland 70th anniversary celebration, and ONE returns after 15 months away.
  • New hotel decor at two hotels. Pixar Place Hotel gets Disney and Pixar’s Monsters, Inc.-themed decor. The Disneyland Hotel gets Haunted Mansion-inspired touches.
  • The Cutie Ghost merchandise collection launches alongside the returning Mickey Mouse Family Halloween Collection, featuring pastel Mickey and Minnie ghost designs.
  • A record 33 Oogie Boogie Bash nights, up from 31 in 2025 and 27 in 2024, with tickets going on sale eight days earlier than last year and pricing held flat at $139 to $199.

What got cut

The Frightfully Fun Parade is not returning for 2026. The parade debuted at Disneyland’s Mickey’s Halloween Party in 2016, moved to Disney California Adventure in 2019 for the inaugural Oogie Boogie Bash, and had run at Bash every year since (except 2020, when the parks were closed). The 2026 cut is tied to the Avengers Campus-adjacent Coco attraction construction, which blocks the Disney California Adventure parade gate and backstage route. Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake is its replacement.

Frontierland Día de los Muertos installation returns near Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante, decorated with catrinas, calacas, and marigolds in the traditional Mexican ofrenda style.

Main Street pumpkin decor returns, including the giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin and dozens of hand-carved pumpkins along Main Street U.S.A.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and friends debut new harlequin-motif Halloween costumes in Town Square, in orange, yellow, and black.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit returns as a scavenger hunt for Disney-themed pumpkins hidden across both parks and the Downtown Disney District. Maps are sold separately and include a keepsake.

Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour returns as an additional-cost, all-day walking tour of Halloween Time offerings across both parks.

At Disney California Adventure

Mickey’s Trick and Treat returns at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land starting August 18. The daytime sing-along replaces Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! temporarily.

World of Color, ONE returns to Paradise Bay from August 10 through the Halloween season, replacing World of Color: Happiness! following the 70th anniversary’s conclusion. There is no Halloween-specific World of Color for 2026.
