Jason Voorhees is slashing back onto screens next month in Peacock’s Crystal Lake prequel, which premieres October 15, and the merchandise is already here. Cinemark is selling an official $39.95 Jason Voorhees popcorn bucket, in theaters and on its online shop now, modeled on the Jason Universe redesign of the slasher.
What It Is
The bucket is an 85-ounce plastic bust of Jason in his hockey mask, and the top of the head lifts open on a hinge to hold your popcorn. Cinemark caps it at three per customer and calls it a limited-edition collectible that pays tribute to “Camp Crystal Lake’s most infamous resident.” It is $39.95 at Cinemark theaters and the chain’s online shop, while supplies last.
Jason Isn’t the Only Slasher at the Concession Stand
Cinemark also carries a Michael Myers figural-head bucket, a bust of the Halloween killer that opens the same way. It first appeared last October for a Halloween re-release and is a theaters-only item, not listed on the online shop. The chain’s online collection leans horror in other ways this season, with a Scream 7 Ghostface bust bucket and an M3GAN 2.0 Cyberpunk bucket sold alongside Jason at $39.95 each.
Jason Is Having a Moment
The bucket is one piece of a much bigger year for Jason, driven by the Crystal Lake prequel and the broader Jason Universe licensing push. Crystal Lake premieres all eight episodes October 15 on Peacock, with Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees telling Jason’s origin through his mother. It is one of the season’s marquee horror premieres in our Halloween 2026 streaming guide.
The character has also spilled off the screen into live experiences. Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group is running Jason Universe: Survive the Night, a licensed Friday the 13th walkthrough with an interactive “Director’s Cut” add-on, at nine of its haunts: Denver, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Phoenix, Green Bay, Minneapolis, New Orleans, and Nashville. A separate maze, JASON: Blood Reign, is haunting three Six Flags parks this Halloween: SCarowinds, Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt, and Six Flags Great Adventure’s Fright Fest. The wave reaches the beer aisle too, where Pabst Blue Ribbon’s Jason 12-pack folds into a wearable hockey mask.
Behind all of it is Jason Universe, the licensing program from rights-holder Horror, Inc. that has driven the character’s 2026 revival across screens, stores, and haunts. It has gone international, too, with a Jason haunted house at Movie Park Germany.
