Hersheypark is bringing one of its Dark Nights haunted houses into Christmas. The Estate of Evil, a 13-room mansion whose staff killed off every previous owner, reopens as a holiday open house at Christmas Candylane on select dates November 13 through January 3, where guests can see how that staff “decorated the rooms with terrifying holiday flair.”

Inside the Estate of Evil
The Estate of Evil debuted in 2024 at Dark Nights, Hersheypark’s after-dark scare event, as an open house. A brownstone mansion has hit the market, and guests tour its 13 rooms, including a game room, a wine cellar, and an enchanted garden, while the live-in staff looks on.
Each room belongs to a past owner who committed one of the seven deadly sins:
- Greed in the post-industrial era
- Gluttony during Prohibition
- Pride: a huntsman of the late 1930s
- Envy: a starlet of the 1950s pin-up era
- Lust in the 1970s club scene
- Sloth: 1990s gamers
The seventh sin, wrath, belongs to the staff, who killed every one of those owners. For 2026, Hershey says a long-forgotten room has been discovered in the house. In 2024 the house sat in the park’s Pioneer Frontier area near the Fahrenheit coaster.
For Christmas Candylane, the park says the open house “combines Dark Nights with holiday” as the staff decorates those rooms for the season.
Christmas Candylane 2026
Christmas Candylane runs select dates November 13 through January 3. Every admission ticket includes select family rides and attractions, the candy-themed Treeville, and more than 5 million lights, and ZooAmerica admission comes with every park ticket.
The Estate of Evil is one of several new things this year:
- Fire & Ice Experience: icy lights and flames set to a score
- Treeville: bigger this year, with two treat stops along the walk at The Shore
- Twin Turnpike: four new festive cars and new light displays
- Holly Jolly Laff Trakk: a new holiday soundtrack
Santa also hosts a breakfast buffet at The Chocolatier on select dates between November 27 and December 24.
Hershey Sweet Lights, the drive-thru light show, won’t return in 2026 after 20 seasons, as Hersheypark focuses on growing Candylane.
Hersheypark says holiday ticket offers are coming. A new 2027 Full, King, or Giant Size season pass includes unlimited visits for the rest of 2026, Candylane included, with free parking.
