Fright Fest at Six Flags Great America returns for 2026, its 50th anniversary year, with five haunted mazes, two of them new: Blair Witch: No Signal and Nightmares. The event runs select nights from September 19 through November 1, with seven scare zones, live shows, and coasters in the dark included with admission and the mazes sold as a separate Haunted Attractions Pass.
Dates and Hours
Fright Fest runs select nights from September 19 through November 1, 2026. Daytime park operations continue, and the park turns scary at dusk. Family programming, Tricks and Treats and Oktoberfest, runs during the day for guests with younger children. The after-dark event is not recommended for children under 13, and costumes and face coverings are not allowed for guests.
The Five Haunted Mazes
Two of the five mazes are new for 2026, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which ran in 2025, is not back this year.
- Blair Witch: No Signal (new): based on The Blair Witch Project, a near-dark walk through the Black Hills Forest to the Rustin Parr house.
- Nightmares (new): a series of dreamscapes of clowns, spiders, and deranged doctors.
- The Conjuring Universe (returning): the Warrens’ occult museum and its cursed artifacts.
- SAW: Legacy of Terror (returning): Jigsaw’s traps and contraptions.
- The Estate at Wretched Meadows (returning): a grand estate with a sinister history of collapsing ceilings, restless spirits, and workers who vanished.
Maze access requires a Haunted Attractions Pass.
The Seven Scare Zones
Seven scare zones fill the walkways between the mazes, all included with admission: Necropolis, an eerie city of undead spirits back for the 50th anniversary, plus Oddities: Circus of Madness, Forbidden Forest, Underworld, Head Bangerz, Lost Souls, and Wretched Meadows.
Shows
The long-running Love at First Fright show is retired this year and continued by a new production, MasqueRAVE, which follows its character Witchie into the space between the living and the dead. Also new is The Velvet Quarter, a candlelit musical revue. The returning The Uprising: Nightly Call of the Dead is a high-energy street spectacle in which rival Fright Fest factions clash for control of the night.
Tickets and What’s Included
Scare zones, live shows, and rides in the dark come with regular park admission or a season pass. Haunted mazes are premium attractions that require a separate Haunted Attractions Pass. At the time of writing, Six Flags posted a single-night Haunted Attractions Pass from $35 and a Fright Fest Bundle (admission plus mazes) from $75. Six Flags uses date-based dynamic pricing, so those are starting figures that vary by night, and an Express upgrade adds priority maze entry.
