Kalamazoo, MI — Haunters Against Hate: the Event is returning for its fourth year, this time at the Radisson in Kalamazoo, Michigan on August 1-2. Themed “The 4 Horsemen of the Gaypocalypse,” the convention brings together the LGBTQIA+, haunt, and horror communities for a weekend of vendors, workshops, drag shows, special performances, and the annual HAH Awards.
The event, produced by the 501(c)(3) non-profit Haunters Against Hate, is moving from its previous Kentucky location to Michigan. Funds raised after event costs will be donated to OutFront Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids Pride Center.
Entertainment and Celebrity Guests
HAHIV will feature more than 60 vendors alongside a lineup of celebrity guests and performers. Cast members from the cult horror film “Sleepaway Camp” and stars of the classic TV series “Land of the Lost” (accompanied by a sleestak) will be in attendance, along with comedian Julie Brown and Russell Todd of “Friday the 13th Part II” and “Chopping Mall.”
The drag and performance lineup includes Loosey LaDuca of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” returning performer Annie Manildoo from New York City, and Monster Entertainment Group from Michigan with their horror-themed drag show.
Additional activities include a cosplay competition and the fourth annual makeup competition, where competitors will create their own version of “Aunt Gladys” from the film “Weapons.”

The event will also host the 2026 HAH Awards ceremony, recognizing contributions across the haunt community. This year’s recipients are:
- Jason Olsen of Chicago, Haunter of the Year
- Karen Fields of “Sleepaway Camp,” Legacy Award
