House of Horror Haunted Carnival, the longest-running haunted attraction in South Florida, is marking its 25th year with a new home. The 2026 event moves to Tropical Park in Miami, opening Thursday, September 24 and running through Sunday, November 1, with five all-new haunted houses, an expanded carnival midway, and the debut of a haunted dark roller coaster.

“Celebrating 25 years of House of Horror is an incredible milestone, but this season is really about what comes next,” said Tony Albelo, president of Loud And Live Events. “Moving to Tropical Park lets us take the experience to another level: bigger attractions, new concepts and more ways for guests to experience the event.”
Five all-new haunted houses
Every haunted attraction is new for the move. The biggest addition is Howie’s Blind Terror: The Dark Coaster, pitched as part haunted house and part high-speed ride, where guests are launched into a pitch-black abyss with live wires overhead and sudden drops underfoot. The event calls it the only haunted dark roller coaster of its kind in the country.
The rest of the lineup:
- Hide and Seek: The Warden’s Game drops guests into an abandoned Miami junkyard as unwilling players hunted by the Warden’s Scrap Workers. It is interactive and choose-your-own-path, so no two runs are the same.
- Camp Dead-End Trails strands escaped inmates at a snowbound Vermont ski camp, where the smiling campers turn out to be the ones doing the killing.
- The Abduction is the event’s first 360-degree haunt, staged inside a purpose-built dome around a containment breach at a classified military bunker.
- Isla de las Muñecas takes guests to the cursed Island of the Dolls, where survivors of a civilization-collapsing virus meet a cult worshipping rotting effigies.
Beyond the haunts
The carnival side has grown too. More than 20 rides light up the expanded midway, all included with admission, alongside midway games, scare zones patrolled by roaming performers, and Halloween photo installations. Food trucks, carnival treats, and specialty cocktails fill out the midway, with Cervecería La Tropical returning for a second year as official beer partner. New this season, House of Little Horrors is a family-friendly zone with kid rides, a low-scare maze, and photo opportunities, set away from the most intense scares.
One ticket covers all five attractions, unlimited carnival rides, the scare zones, House of Little Horrors, and free parking. The event, produced by Loud And Live, draws more than 150,000 guests a season and was voted Best Attraction in the Miami-Dade Favorite awards.

- Weeknight deals: Maniac Monday $29.99, 2-For-Tuesday $54.99, Wicked Wednesday $99.99, and Third-Wheel Thursday $69.99. A limited HOH Bye-Pass front-of-line ticket is $20 on weekdays and $40 on weekends, sold online only.
- Ages: the haunted attractions are recommended for guests 16 and older, and child admission does not include them. The midway and House of Little Horrors are open to all ages.
- Getting home: event sponsor Amanda Demanda Injury Lawyers is giving out 1,000 free Uber vouchers, each $15 off a ride, at its booth, valid on Halloween night only, October 31 from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. The firm is also staging a junk-vehicle crash-scene safe-driving PSA at the carnival.
