Springfield might be pulling into the Jack in the Box drive-thru this Halloween. Leaked promotional images making the rounds online point to a “Munchie Meal of Horror,” a Treehouse of Horror take on Jack’s late-night combo, loaded with a glow-in-the-dark collectible cup and a very pink dessert. It is not official yet, but the mockups are detailed and the timing fits the show’s long Halloween tradition.

What’s in the Munchie Meal of Horror
Going by the leaked art, the “Munchie Meal of Horror” keeps the Munchie Meal formula and drapes it in Treehouse of Horror branding. You get a choice between a “Double Krusty Burger of Terror” and a “Double Chicken Sandwich of Terror,” served with curly fries, Monster Tacos, and a drink in a purple Treehouse of Horror box. The collector bait is a glow-in-the-dark cup, and the art advertises six designs to collect, with a Bart cup shown.
Forbidden D’oh!nut Holes
The dessert is where Simpsons fans will really perk up. The leak shows “Forbidden D’oh!nut Holes,” a four-piece order finished in the pink icing and rainbow sprinkles of the show’s most famous doughnut. The name is a wink at “The Devil and Homer Simpson,” the Treehouse of Horror IV segment where Homer trades his soul for a doughnut and then sneaks back for the forbidden one. A Halloween donut called Forbidden D’oh!nut Holes is about as on-theme as it gets.
The Simpsons and the Munchie Meal go way back
If this is real, it is a full-circle moment. Jack in the Box has spent recent years turning the Munchie Meal into a collaboration platform, marking the item’s 10th anniversary in 2023 with a Snoop Dogg Munchie Meal and following it with an Ice Cube version in 2024. The Simpsons twist is the fun part, because the show has already spoofed Jack in the Box. Its 2020 episode “Highway to Well” ran a fake ad for “Krusty’s Munchie Mouthfuls,” a late-night fast-food gag aimed straight at the Munchie Meal. A real Simpsons Munchie Meal would turn that old joke into an actual tray of food.
For now, file it under rumor. Neither Jack in the Box nor The Simpsons has announced anything official, and no pricing has surfaced from either brand. One newer leak does hint at timing. A video posted August 22 by an apparent Jack in the Box employee, showing an internal computer screen, listed a possible run of September 10 through November 6, as surfaced by Attractions Magazine. Treat that window as unconfirmed until the company makes it official. But they are specific, they are seasonal, and they would give Homer one more reason to chase a forbidden donut this Halloween.
