Scream 30th anniversary at Midsummer Scream 2026, Long Beach Convention Center

Long Beach, CA — Midsummer Scream and Paramount Scares have announced a weekend-long celebration marking the 30th anniversary of Wes Craven’s Scream at the 2026 convention, bringing much of the original Scream cast, Ghostface voice actor Roger L. Jackson, and composer Marco Beltrami to the Long Beach Convention Center from August 7 through August 9. The partnership is Paramount Scares’s largest presence to date at the Southern California haunt-and-horror convention.

For dates, tickets, the Hall of Shadows, and everything announced so far, see our Midsummer Scream 2026 guide.

Midsummer Scream 2026 runs August 7-9 at the Long Beach Convention Center and draws roughly 50,000 attendees annually for a three-day mix of vendor exhibitors, Hall of Shadows walkthroughs, panels, presentations, and performances across seven stages. HAN previously covered Midsummer Scream 2026’s tickets on-sale and the Hall of Shadows lineup with Universal, Lionsgate, and Thirteenth Floor.

The Woodsboro reunion cast

The 30th anniversary programming centers on autograph, selfie, and professional photo-op sessions across the weekend with much of the original Scream cast:

  • Matthew Lillard (Stu Macher)
  • Skeet Ulrich (Billy Loomis)
  • David Arquette (Dewey Riley)
  • Jamie Kennedy (Randy Meeks)
  • Lee Waddell (stunt actor)
  • Joseph Whipp (Sheriff Burke)

Additional guests have been teased and are expected to be announced closer to the event. A limited number of attendees can also book a private meet-and-greet with Roger L. Jackson, the voice of Ghostface, and record a custom voicemail or audio greeting.

Paramount Scares recreates the Bradley Video Store

Paramount Scares is recreating Bradley Video on the Midsummer Scream floor, the fictional video store from the 1996 film. The recreation is a rewind to 1996 Woodsboro, with Fangoria staff acting as clerks playing genre expert to attendees, Ghostface photo ops, and merchandise giveaways. The concept invites attendees to ask “Do you like scary movies?” at the counter.

Sound of Scream panel with Marco Beltrami

Two headline weekend panels anchor the Scream 30th programming.

  • Saturday, August 8: Matthew Lillard hosts the Scream 30th Anniversary Panel, promising special guests, franchise insights, and audience engagement.
  • Sunday, August 9: The Sound of Scream brings together horror composer Marco Beltrami, Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas, Ghostface voice actor Roger L. Jackson, film producer Marianne Maddalena, and music supervisor Ed Gerrard to dissect the franchise’s music, vocal delivery, and audio design.

HAN previously recorded a related panel from Midsummer Scream 2022, Composers of the Apocalypse, which covered the history and craft of horror film soundtracks.

Fangoria Midsummer Scream edition

A special Midsummer Scream edition of Fangoria magazine is being produced for the show, featuring a Ghostface-themed cover and archival articles, deep-dives, and retrospective coverage tied to the 2026 guest lineup. The issue is available only at the convention.

Event dates, tickets, and admission status

Midsummer Scream 2026 runs Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9 at the Long Beach Convention Center. Weekend passes and Gold Bat VIP passes are sold out, and single-day passes remain available. Celebrity photo-ops and the Roger L. Jackson private meet-and-greet are add-ons and can be booked in addition to convention admission.
