Salt Lake City, UT — Nightmare on 13th’s new attraction for its 36th season is one you sit down for: 13th Manor is a live scare show of roughly 20 minutes, staged in one room with the actors. The Salt Lake City haunt is open Monday through Saturday through Halloween, plus Friday, November 13, with tickets from $27.95 for the main haunted house and $14.95 for the show.
13th Manor, the New Sit-Down Scare Show
“This is not a walk-through,” Nightmare on 13th’s page for 13th Manor says. Guests take a seat in a room themed as an old haunted Southern manor, and a host named Mr. Grimly tells the stories of the people who lived there while live actors perform around the audience. The haunt describes the format as “Live performers. One Room. No separation between you and the story.”
The show is new for 2026 and is the haunt’s third attraction. It is in the same building as the two haunted houses, in a space Nightmare on 13th says it built for the show without removing any part of the other attractions.
- Ticket: $14.95 plus a $0.99 service fee and tax, sold by show time. It can be bought without a haunted house ticket.
- Show times: 7:15, 8:00, 8:45, and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, and 8:00 and 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, on the ticket page on October 6.
- Timing: the ticket page says to pick a show during or before your haunted house time slot and to arrive 15 minutes early.
- Line: 13th Manor has a separate line, which the haunt says “is typically shorter since not all guests experience this attraction.”
- Coupons: discounts and coupons are not valid for 13th Manor.
The Two Haunted Houses
Nightmare Haunted House is the main and largest attraction, it is included in every haunted house ticket, and it takes 25 to 40 minutes to walk. Its featured section for 2026 is Horror Cinema, a 1920s movie theatre showing a double feature where, in the haunt’s words, “you’ll step through the screen and directly into the movies themselves.”
Institute of Terror is the second haunted house, themed as an asylum during a thunderstorm that has knocked out the power and freed the patients. Nightmare on 13th calls it “darker and more intense” than the main house. It takes 15 to 20 minutes and is included only with a Combo, Fastpass, or Red Carpet VIP ticket.
Both haunted houses are indoors, so the haunt stays open in rain and snow. Two extras sit outside the ticket: Buried Alive, a 4-D ride in a double-wide coffin, and a concession stand called Sinister Sips & Deadly Donuts with mini-donuts and drinks.

2026 Dates and Hours
Nightmare on 13th’s 2026 calendar has 32 nights, from September 18 through Friday, November 13. From October 5 through Halloween it is open Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays.
- Monday through Thursday: 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, October 29, runs until 11 p.m.
- Fridays and Saturdays: 7 p.m. to midnight
- Friday, November 13: 7 to 10 p.m., the only night after Halloween
Several other haunts also run past Halloween, and my guide to when haunted houses open and close lists them.
Ticket Prices
Tickets are sold online for a date and a 30-minute entry window, and the price depends on the night. On October 6 the ticket calendar showed four prices for a Nightmare General Admission ticket: $27.95 and $29.95 on weeknights, $32.95 on Fridays and on November 13, and $36.95 on Saturdays. Each ticket adds a $1.99 service fee and tax.
The ticket types, with the price for Wednesday, October 7, and then Saturday, October 10:
- Nightmare GA: $27.95 and $36.95. The main haunted house only.
- Combo GA: $37.95 and $46.95. Both haunted houses.
- Fastpass GA: $47.95 and $56.95. A separate, faster entrance line for the main house, plus Institute of Terror.
- Red Carpet VIP: $69.95 and $78.95. Immediate entry to both haunted houses with a host, a souvenir lanyard and badge, and entry at any time that night.
- Group Rate: $18.95 each for 20 or more tickets to the main house on October 7, which the ticket page lists “for a limited time.”
Nightmare on 13th has a no-refund policy. Ticket Protection is $4.95 per ticket and gives a refund on an unused ticket, less the fees. The haunt’s coupon page offers up to $10 off night tickets, or $3 off Day Haunt, to people who text COUPON13 to 844-HAUNT13.
Tickets for the haunted houses are not sold at the door. 13th Manor is the only attraction with tickets sold on site.
Day Haunt for Families
Day Haunt is a daytime walk through the main haunted house with the show lighting on and no actors, scares, or moving animatronics. New for 2026, kids trick-or-treat as they go: each child gets a Nightmare on 13th trick-or-treat bag and a finger light, and there are three candy stations inside.
Every person who walks through needs a ticket, and there is no separate kids’ price. Day Haunt tickets are sold on a separate ticket page and do not include the night attractions or 13th Manor.
