Shanghai Disney Resort has announced its 2026 Halloween, running October 4 through November 1 as part of the resort’s 10th Birthday celebration. Unlike the hard-ticket Halloween parties at the U.S. Disney parks, Shanghai’s Halloween is woven into a regular visit, family-friendly and villain-forward, with a run of dated Spook-tacular Days as the season’s peak. An Autumn That Starts With Duffy
The wider autumn is Duffy-forward. Before Halloween, the resort runs Duffy Month from September 1 to 30, a 10th Birthday Special built around Duffy and Friends boarding the “FriendSHIP” for a month of new shows, plus a week-long celebration of LinaBell’s fifth anniversary from September 23 to 29. Halloween follows on October 4.
Halloween Gets a Magic+ Twist
Shanghai’s Halloween stays family-friendly rather than outright scary, and this year it expands its “With You, It’s Magic+” entertainment. It opens with an extra daytime edition of Donald’s Halloween Treat Cavalcade, where Disney Villains take the spotlight and guests in their most creative Halloween looks can be selected to follow Donald Duck and Daisy Duck through the parade. Disney Villains also turn up across the park in a series of immersive experiences.
Making his debut this autumn is Peg-Leg Pete, who joins the lineup as an evil king. Mickey and Friends take on a steampunk-style look, while Duffy and Friends reimagine themselves as a whimsical bard troupe.
Zootopia’s Howl-o-ween
In the Zootopia-themed land, the annual Howl-o-ween celebration returns with Judy, Nick, and the rest of the Zootopia residents. The land runs daily 10-minute Mark Howling sessions and serves Blue Howling Drinks throughout the season.
10 Spook-tacular Days
The season’s peak is a set of dated Spook-tacular Days, expanded to ten this year for the 10th Birthday. They run October 16 to 18, October 23 to 25, and October 29 to November 1. On those days, guests can dance through five festive Party Zones, find surprise encounters in the Alice in Wonderland Maze, join Donald’s Halloween Treat Party at Festival Forest, collect treats across the resort, and gather at the Enchanted Storybook Castle for the Disney Villains Castle Celebration.
Food, Merchandise, and Disneytown
Halloween dining spans dark delights, Halloween-themed set menus, and festive buffets. Four new merchandise collections cover Mickey and Friends, Duffy and Friends, Winnie the Pooh and Friends, and Zootopia, with glow-in-the-dark apparel, pumpkin-inspired items, and collectible plush. Beyond the park, Disneytown adds a trick-or-treat trail on the Disneytown Halloween Tour and a Halloween Market.
Dates and How to Go
Shanghai Disneyland’s 2026 Halloween runs October 4 through November 1. The entertainment is included with regular admission, and the resort is offering seasonal ticket and hotel packages for the autumn, including a Duffy and Friends overnight package and a one-day ticket bundled with a drink and a Duffy giveaway.
