Shanghai Disney Resort has not announced its 2026 Halloween event yet, but it has confirmed one is coming: the resort’s 10th Anniversary celebration materials promise an autumn “spook-tacular cavalcade” on this year’s calendar. The standalone Halloween announcement has landed in late August each of the last two years, so the wait should be short. Shanghai’s Halloween runs cute-dark rather than scary: villains, projection spectaculars, and pirate mischief, family-friendly throughout, with all-ages costume dress-up allowed as a seasonal exception to the park’s usual rules.
What Stays Stable
Confirmed across 2024 and 2025: Donald’s Halloween Treat Cavalcade with Hades, Maleficent, the Queen of Hearts, and Dr. Facilier, The Villains’ Club dance party in Tomorrowland, villain appearances on the Enchanted Storybook Castle balcony, the Halloween-only nighttime castle spectacular during Spook-tacular Days, Treasure Cove’s Ghost Pirates, Zootopia Howl-o-Ween, and seasonal costumes for Mickey and Friends, Duffy and Friends, and Winnie the Pooh.
What Changes Each Year
Each season brings one debut villain and one marquee new experience. In 2025 those were Mother Gothel’s park debut and Buccaneer Bash, the new pirate evening in Treasure Cove with Captain Nova and her crew. The 2026 additions are the thing to watch for in the late-August announcement, along with the exact Spook-tacular Days calendar.
