Federal Way, WA — 2026 is the final season of Fright Fest at Wild Waves Theme & Water Park because the park is closing for good after the fall season. Fright Fest opens for 15 nights, October 2 through November 1, Fridays through Sundays.

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so the event runs Halloween night and then one final day.
Admission and policies:
- The monsters come out at 6pm. Saturdays and Sundays open at 2pm as a normal park day until then.
- There is no re-entry after 6pm, and the front gate stops admitting guests one hour before closing.
- The water park is closed during Fright Fest. It shuts for the year after September 7.
- Everything is included with admission. Haunted houses, scare zones and rides are all covered. The two exceptions the park lists: the Soaring Eagle costs extra, and a Summer Fun Pass will not get you in.
- Season passes get in free. The park lists free Fright Fest admission for both 2025 and 2026 season pass holders.
- Minors under 18 need an adult 21 or older with them, one adult per six minors.
- It can sell out. The park warns Fright Fest reaches capacity on high-volume nights.
The lineup
Two haunted houses:
- Chamber of Souls, opens 6:30pm. A cursed estate where each room holds the spirits of the sacrificed.
- Black Hallow Woods, opens 7:00pm. New this year. A forest stalked by hollowed ones and a wendigo.
Two scare zones, both opening at 7:30pm:
- Haunted Harvest, a cursed farm running an eternal harvest festival.
- Trail of Terrors, a wooded path worked by hunters and shadowy predators.
All four are rated PG-13. Rides in the Dark runs from 6pm, with a live DJ Friday through Sunday. The 21-and-over Vampire Bar next to the Carousel Café serves Blood Bag Fangrias and syringe jello shots, open Fridays 6pm to 9pm and Saturdays and Sundays 4pm to 9pm. Mr. Fright, a skull-faced figure in a top hat, works the paths. Food includes candied apples, fudge and elephant ears.

Booville
Booville runs September 26 through November 1, Saturdays and Sundays only, closing each evening at 6pm as the park flips over. It opens a week before Fright Fest does: on September 26 and 27 the park runs 12pm to 6pm with Booville only.
Booville sits in Kiddie Land and is a scare-free zone for ages 12 and under, with trick-or-treating, a hay maze, face painting, costume contests at 3pm and 5pm, a bubble show and a magician. It is not open on Fridays.
Why the park is closing
Wild Waves announced the closure on December 10, 2025. Kieran Burke, who owns operator Premier Parks, said the park has run “millions in losses” since reopening after the COVID shutdown, which “forces us to discontinue operations at the end of our 2026 season.”
The park opened in 1977 and calls itself Washington’s largest combination theme and water park, 70 acres about 25 minutes south of downtown Seattle. It employs roughly 35 full-time and 800 seasonal staff, and it is doing a full farewell year: an employee reunion party in August, a two-day cultural festival, and then Fright Fest to close it out.
All previously purchased 2026 season passes, ticket packages and group events are being honored through the end of the season. What happens to the land afterward is not settled. The owner has said plans are “currently in preliminary stages.”
Not the Six Flags Fright Fest
