Dave & Buster’s Halloween is two ticketed parties on Saturday, October 31: Boo Bash, a family pancake breakfast with a costume contest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Moonlight Mixer, an 18-and-up night from 7 to 10 p.m. with a buffet and three hours of unlimited video games. Tickets start at $21 and $24.99, and a Halloween menu with three cocktails is in restaurants now.

Boo Bash, the Family Morning

Boo Bash runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Halloween at participating locations. The ticket covers a pancake banquet with pancakes and toppings, scrambled eggs, and other breakfast food, plus a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, and a scavenger hunt.

  • Tickets: from $21 per person, or from $25.99 with three hours of unlimited video game play and a $10 Power Card.
  • Who needs one: every guest over the age of 3.
  • Ages: there is no age requirement. Anyone under 18 has to come with an adult who is at least 25.

Moonlight Mixer, the Adults’ Night

Moonlight Mixer runs from 7 to 10 p.m. the same day and is for guests 18 and older. The ticket covers one trip through a banquet line, three hours of unlimited video game play, a costume contest, and a Halloween playlist.

  • Tickets: from $24.99 per person.
  • Drinks: up to two drink tickets can be added at $11 each, good for a domestic beer, a house wine, or a call spirit. A valid ID is required.
  • The banquet: the Dallas listing names pepperoni flatbread, smashed burger sliders, garlic butter pretzel sticks, crispy chicken bites, French fries, and fruit.

The prices Dave & Buster’s advertises are before tax and gratuity, and the ticket page adds both. At the Dallas location on October 6, the $21 Boo Bash ticket was $27.94 at checkout and the version with game play was $33.01.

Game Play, the Costume Contest, and Refunds

  • Unlimited play lasts 180 minutes from your first swipe and covers video games only. Crane games, virtual reality, coin pushers, dance games, and prize games are excluded, and you do not earn prize tickets during it.
  • The costume contest has one winner per party at each location, and the prize is free game play for a year.
  • Tickets are not sold at the door. They are sold online only, and they are not refundable. A date change is allowed up to 48 hours ahead.
  • Arrival: the ticket site recommends arriving at the time on your ticket and allows entry for the next 60 minutes.
  • Prices and times can vary by location.

Where to Buy Tickets

Tickets are sold city by city through Fever, on its website and app. The ticket site lists 184 Dave & Buster’s locations, 182 in the United States and two in Canada. These are the ticket pages for 25 large cities:

The Halloween Menu

The Halloween menu started October 6 at Dave & Buster’s locations nationwide and is on for a limited time. Dave & Buster’s announcement does not give prices.

  • Freak Show: Crown Royal whisky, vanilla, citrus sour, and bitters with a Cabernet float, a dried orange slice, and vampire fangs
  • Bad Medicine: Midori, pineapple passion fruit, and citrus sour, served with a cherry JELL-O shot in a syringe
  • The Possession: Absolut vodka, cherry, Sprite, and citrus sour with luster dust, a sugar rim, a glowing ice cube, and freeze-dried grape ice cream
  • Cauldron Cream Soda: a mocktail of Fanta Orange and vanilla in a glass lined with marshmallow whip
  • Summon the Fire Sauce: a buffalo and chili lime sauce for wings or cheesesticks
  • Love at First Bite: chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse made with REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups
  • Funneral Cake Fries: funnel cake fries with caramel, powdered sugar, and sprinkles, served with whipped cream, chocolate, and caramel for dipping

“We are not inventing a reason to go out. We are showing up for a night people already plan to celebrate, with a menu that looks and tastes like Halloween and the kind of play you can’t get at a restaurant or a bar,” said Jeremy Tucker, Chief Marketing Officer at Dave & Buster’s.

Escape Pod and the Human Crane

Escape Pod is a new game at Dave & Buster’s that works like a small escape room: two players step inside and have five minutes to solve its challenges and get away from the zombies.

The Human Crane is a life-sized claw machine that turns the player into the claw. Participating locations have restocked it for Halloween with inflatable potion bottles, skeletons, vampire fangs, and black cats.
