Enchanted Parks is running Halloween at six parks this fall, from ValleyScare at Valleyfair to Diggerfest at Diggerland USA, and four of them pair a family event by day with a haunt after dark. It is the chain’s first Halloween at the four parks it took over from Six Flags in April, and every family event adds allergy-safe trick-or-treat stops through FARE’s Teal Pumpkin Project.

How the Day and Night Split Works
- Valleyfair: ValleyScare is a separate ticket this year, $49.99 online with all five haunted mazes included, and a combo ticket for the day and night is $74.99. On Saturdays, everyone leaves at 5:30 p.m. when Tricks and Treats closes, and ValleyScare ticket holders come back in through the Steel Venom gates.
- Worlds of Fun: one Halloween Haunt ticket, $50.99 online, covers the rides, daytime Tricks and Treats, and all six haunted mazes after dark. There’s no Tricks and Treats on Fridays.
- Mid America Adventure: Fright Fest comes with park admission, and daily tickets start at $39.99 online. The four haunted houses need a Haunted Attractions Pass, from $27.99.
- Great Escape: Boo Fest starts at noon and Fright Fest starts at 5 p.m., both with park admission. The four haunted houses need a separate wristband or maze pass.
Chaperone rules by park:
- ValleyScare: guests 17 and younger need a chaperone who is at least 21.
- Worlds of Fun: the same rule applies from open to close on every Halloween Haunt day.
- Mid America Adventure: guests 16 and younger need a 21-plus chaperone for the haunted attractions.
The Haunts
- ValleyScare at Valleyfair: five haunted mazes, four scare zones, six shows, and a new interactive lantern that sets off fog, lights, and sounds around the park. Full details are in my ValleyScare 2026 guide.

- Fright Fest at Great Escape: four haunted houses (Nightmare, Skull Manor, CarnEVIL, and Hell Block VI), three scare zones (Dead in the West, Dark Oaks Graveyard, and Sirens), and three new shows: PigFace, Grunge Monsters, and Weird Tales Story Hour. The Family Events
- Tricks and Treats at Valleyfair and Worlds of Fun: Saturdays and Sundays, with trick-or-treating and kid-friendly shows.
- Boo Fest at Mid America Adventure: Saturdays and Sundays through November 1, with four new experiences: Kid’s Mash Bash, Gordy’s Candy Trail, McBoogle’s Pathway, and Spooky Stories with Jack.
- Boo Fest at Great Escape: weekends from noon, with trick-or-treating at the Storytown houses in Buckaroo Junction, a Monster Mash dance party with Count Dracula, a hay maze, and a costume contest for kids 12 and under. The Great Escape Lodge, with its indoor waterpark, also runs a Boo Fest each weekend through October 31.
- Diggerfest at Diggerland USA: weekends through November 15, with trick-or-treating, hayrides, and a Parade of Machines. More in my Diggerfest story.
- Autumn Adventure at Water Safari: select Saturdays, September 19 through October 24, with trick-or-treating on Storybook Lane, the Haunted Train, a costume contest, and the new Paul Bunyan’s Log Haul ride. Tickets are $15 per person, sold online only.
Allergy-Safe Trick-or-Treating
Enchanted Parks is joining FARE’s Teal Pumpkin Project and will have non-food trick-or-treat stops at all of its family-focused Halloween events. The project, from the nonprofit Food Allergy Research & Education, encourages hosts to offer non-food treats for kids with food allergies.
“We understand some families don’t feel comfortable taking part in some Halloween-themed activities because the risk of being exposed to an allergen is too high for their children,” said James Harhi, chief executive officer of Enchanted Parks. “When families come out to our events, we want everyone to be able to take part and have a great time.”
Deals and Passes
Worlds of Fun and Mid America Adventure are both selling two tickets for the price of one through October 4, for use by October 11. At Worlds of Fun, that’s two Halloween Haunt tickets for $69.99 total. At Mid America Adventure it starts at $29.99 per person, and the Haunted Attractions Pass isn’t included. At every park, a 2027 season pass includes the rest of 2026, Halloween events included.
