Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood 2026 Food: Every Item and Price, Plus Universal’s Photos vs. What I Got

Halloween Horror Nights opened at Universal Studios Hollywood on September 3, and this year the food is spread across 15 themed stands, carts, and bars tied to the event’s houses and scare zones, plus a One Wish Churro cart for the movie Obsession. I tried eight items over the first two weekends, and the short version is that the food is weaker than Disney’s or even Knott’s Berry Farm’s. The menu items are basic, and the ones tied to a movie or show carry a premium price. Below is every item with its price and Universal’s photo, plus Universal’s photo next to mine for the eight I tried.

The HHN Hollywood food menu at a glance

There are 33 food items, counting the One Wish Churro, and 25 specialty drinks this year. Food runs from a $6.99 bag of churro bites up to a $39.99 giant hot dog meant to share, and most plates land between $8.99 and $18.99. The specialty cocktails are almost all a flat $18.00, with non-alcoholic versions at $12.00. The one line to remember: most of this food is sold only during the event at night, but the Springfield and Fortnitemares stands are open during the day too.

Of the eight items I tried, the Hello Kitty Chucky sundae and the birria tacos were the best, and the Bark at the Naan and the Clown Cafe Cauliflower Bites are the ones to skip. Universal’s photos next to mine are below the menu cheat sheet.

Know before you go

A few things worth knowing before you line up:

• Daytime vs. night. The Springfield (Treehouse of Horror) and Fortnitemares (Tower Snacks) items are available during the day, so day guests can grab those without an event ticket. Everything else is served only at night, during Halloween Horror Nights.
• Desserts go early. The dessert-style items move quickly. I went for the Fortnitemares Final Peel and it was already gone, so if a sweet is on your list, grab it early in the night.
• Drinks are the splurge. Nearly every specialty cocktail is $18, so a round adds up quickly. The non-alcoholic specialty drinks are $12.
• The Fortnite food line. Demand for the Fortnitemares food at Tower Snacks is strong enough that Universal added a queue line, and on busy nights you can expect to wait over an hour.
• Springfield sells out. The Wurst.Brat.Ever! was sold out all five nights I went, five nights in a row, so if it is on your list, go early.
• The Dining Pass. For $59 plus tax, about $65, the HHN Dining Pass covers two eligible entrées and four eligible sides, snacks, desserts, or drinks. It is good only on the date you buy it, eligible items are marked on the menu boards, and it does not cover alcohol or anything priced $25 or more, like the Battle Bus Dog. Universal’s sign bills it as worth up to $100.
• Passholders save. Annual Passholders get a discount on most of the food items, so have your pass ready at the register.

Universal’s Photos vs. What I Got: 8 Items I Tried

I tried eight items over the first two weekends, ranked below from best to worst, with Universal’s photo on the left and mine on the right.

1. Hello Kitty Chucky Strawberry Cheesecake Sundae ($12.99, Studio Scoops)

A solid dessert if you like cheesecake. It is also hard to get wrong, since the stand is assembling soft-serve, strawberry topping, cheesecake pieces, and a chocolate bow, and mine looked close to Universal’s photo.

2. Beef Birria Tacos ($13.99, Little Cocina)

These are cooked well, and you can watch them come off the open-air grill outside Little Cocina. The catch is the price: the order is two tacos for $13.99, about $7 a taco, in a city with plenty of great tacos.

3. Severed & Smoked Chicken ($10.99, Mummy Eats)

It is a hunk of smoked chicken. As in Orlando, it is probably the healthiest thing you can order, but it is messy and there is no easy place to eat it. Wash your hands before and after, and grab a knife and fork unless you are ready to make a mess standing up.

4. Pumpkin Spice Cold Boo ($10.99, Springfield)

Close to the Orlando version and not very sweet, since most of the sugar sits in the foam on top. Mine came without the sprinkles in Universal’s photo. At $10.99 it costs more than a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte, though it comes in a fun collectible cup.

5. Bloodbath Brisket Fries ($16.99, Clown Cafe)

Roughly 2 to 3 ounces of brisket on a tray of fries. The meat is done well, but the fries are sometimes served cold, and cold fries do not work with this dish.

6. Zero Point Pretzel ($8.99, Tower Snacks)

A warm pretzel under a chocolate drizzle with sprinkles, not the fully coated pretzel in Universal’s photo, so it gets messy. It is best for people who really love chocolate.

7. Bark at the Naan ($13.99, Ozzy’s Bar)

It tasted like chicken tikka masala from a pouch, spooned onto a cold piece of flatbread. Mine had far less of the red cabbage and pineapple in Universal’s photo.

8. Clown Cafe Cauliflower Bites ($11.99, Clown Cafe)

The most disappointing thing I ate. Nothing in the dish works together: fried cauliflower drenched in a spicy sauce that does not add much, in a small portion, and sometimes the cauliflower is not fried right.

Springfield / Treehouse of Horror (Upper Lot)

The Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror” takes over Springfield on the Upper Lot. There is no maze this year, so the whole tie-in lives on the menu, and these items are among the few sold during the day, not just at night.

Sloppy D’oh ($15.99). Ground beef in a tangy tomato chili sauce, topped with Fritos.

Wurst.Brat.Ever! ($13.99). Bratwurst in a pretzel roll topped with Duff cheese sauce and sauerkraut.

Road Scrapin’s ($16.99). French fries topped with white country gravy, cheese, fried chicken, and crispy onions.

Mmm… Forbidden Donut ($11.99). Vanilla donut with pumpkin spice icing topped with sprinkles and a printed candy note.

Pumpkin Spice Cold Boo ($10.99). Cold brew topped with pumpkin spice pink vanilla cold foam and a donut hole. I tried this too. It is close to the Orlando version and not very sweet, since most of the sugar sits in the foam on top. At $10.99 it costs more than the Orlando Cold Boo and more than a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte, which makes the value a harder sell. My take: see Universal’s photo next to mine.

Tower Snacks (Fortnitemares, Upper Lot)

Fortnite’s Halloween event, Fortnitemares, sets up at Tower Snacks near Universal Plaza, beside the new Freaky Fields scare zone. Like Springfield, these items are available during the day.

Battle Bus Dog ($39.99). Giant 22-inch all-beef hot dog with Tostitos nacho cheese sauce, coleslaw, sriracha aioli, banana peppers and crushed Hot Cheetos.

Zero Point Pretzel ($8.99). Soft pretzel dipped in dark chocolate and topped with purple sugar. I tried this one: it is a warm pretzel finished with chocolate drizzle and sprinkles, not a chocolate shell, so it is messy and best for people who really love chocolate. The Final Peel next to it was already gone when I tried to grab it, so the desserts here go early. My take: see Universal’s photo next to mine.

The Final Peel ($8.99). Green vanilla whoopie pie filled with banana caramel buttercream, salted toffee sauce and salted caramel crisp pearls.

Slurp Juice ($12). Mountain Berry Powerade, Sprite, pineapple juice, blue curacao syrup and edible glitter.

Sinners (City Snack Shop, Upper Lot)

The vampire film Sinners fuels a bourbon-and-barbecue snack shop, heavy on whiskey and smoke.

Remmick’s Burnt Ends ($15.99). Pork burnt ends in a black garlic whiskey BBQ sauce. Served with jalapeno cornbread.

Pecan and Whiskey Bread Pudding ($8.49). Warm brown sugar pecan bread pudding topped with whiskey butterscotch sauce and flakey salt.

Burnt Ends Walking Taco ($18.99). Fritos Scoops topped with whiskey BBQ sauce pork ends and cheddar cheese.

Club Juke at Mulligan’s Pub (Sinners, Upper Lot)

Sinners’ Club Juke takes over Mulligan’s Pub with a row of specialty cocktails. Every cocktail here is $18, with a non-alcoholic option at $12.

Prohibition Punch ($18). Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select Whiskey, lemonade, honey, and orange bitters with a blackberry hibiscus float and dehydrated lemon wheel.

I Lied to You, I Love the Blues-berry ($18). Blueberry vodka, ginger ale, white grape juice, lemon juice and blue curacao syrup, with fresh blueberries and a lemon wedge.

Juke Juice ($18). Blackberry moonshine, lemonade, blackberry puree, maple syrup, bitters, and a black sugar rim with dehydrated blood orange and fresh blackberries.

Pale, Pale Moon Pale Ale Shandy ($18). Blue Moon, lemonade and simple syrup garnished with a dehydrated orange.

I Lied to You, I Love the Blues-berry (Non-Alcoholic) ($12). Ginger ale, white grape juice, lemon juice and blue curacao syrup, with fresh blueberries and a lemon wedge.

Ozzy’s Bar (Jurassic Terrace, Lower Lot)

An Ozzy Osbourne tribute bar on the Jurassic Terrace, with food and a run of Prince of Darkness cocktails named after his songs.

Bark at the Naan ($13.99). Naan taco filled with chicken tikka masala, red cabbage, diced pineapple, lime crema, and cilantro. My take: skip it.

Crazy Train Chickpea Curry Burrito ($16.99). Coconut chickpea curry burrito with diced tomato, pineapple chutney, red cabbage, and lime crema.

The Prince of Darkness Cake ($8.99). Carrot cake with cream cheese mousse, coated in black ganache. Topped with chocolate mousse and a chocolate bat.

I Just Want You…& Tacos ($18.99). Fritos, black garlic BBQ brisket, red onion, coleslaw, cilantro.

Mr. Crowley’s Curse ($18). Zero proof whiskey, lemonade, blackberry syrup, and blue curacao syrup.

Bark at the Moon Mule ($18). Grape vodka mule with a grape Pop Rocks rim and fresh blackberries.

Ultimate Sin-ammon ($18). Cinnamon fire whiskey, apple juice, spiced brown sugar, lemon juice and beet powder with a cinnamon sugar rim and chocolate bat.

Blizzard of Ozz-arita ($18). Tequila, blue curacao, lime juice, simple syrup and Sprite with a black sugar rim and black rock candy.

Clown Cafe (Art the Clown, Panda Patio Tent, Lower Lot)

Terrifier’s Art the Clown runs the Clown Cafe in the Panda Patio tent, mixing savory plates with a couple of killer cocktails.

Death by Cheese Stick ($8.99). Giant fried mozzarella stick served with spicy marinara.

Bloodbath Brisket Fries ($16.99). French fries topped with brisket, BBQ sauce, jalapeno ranch, crispy onion, and green onions. My take: good brisket, sometimes cold fries.

Clown Cafe Cauliflower Bites ($11.99). Spicy fried cauliflower topped with a Hot Cheeto sauce and Fritos chips. My take: skip it.

Gut Wound ($8.99). Chocolate raspberry croissant pull-apart.

Root in Evil ($18). Cutwater Vodka, root beer schnapps, cherry syrup and Sprite topped with a black licorice straw and maraschino cherries.

Art’s Killer Cold Brew ($18). Cutwater Whiskey, amaro, cold brew coffee, vanilla syrup and sweet cream cold foam with a chocolate Art the Clown hat.

Art the Clown’s Tinsel Bar (Laemmle Courtyard, Upper Lot)

Art’s second stop goes full Christmas-in-October slasher in the Laemmle Courtyard.

Christmas Tree Glasses Sandwich Cookie ($8.99). Green sugar cookie sandwich filled with raspberry jam, pistachio buttercream, and chopped pistachios.

Silent Night Slasher ($18). Vodka, lime juice, green apple syrup, and ginger beer with a strawberry puree float and gummy Christmas trees.

Art’s Killer Cold Brew ($18). Whiskey, amaro, cold brew coffee, vanilla syrup and sweet cream cold foam with a chocolate Art the Clown hat.

Mistletoe Massacre ($18). Tequila, Aperol, blackberry syrup, lime juice and agave with a black sugar rim and strawberry drizzled sweet cream cold foam.

Frosty Fright ($18). Rum, blue curacao, lime juice, simple syrup and Sprite with a Christmas sprinkle marshmallow rim and a cherry.

Silent Night Slasher (Non-Alcoholic) ($12). Lime juice, green apple syrup, and ginger beer with a strawberry puree float and gummy Christmas trees.

Little Cocina (Dia de los Muertos, Upper Lot)

The Día de los Muertos area serves a full Mexican street-food spread at Little Cocina.

Beef Birria Tacos ($13.99). Beef birria tacos with cilantro and onion. My take: well made, but about $7 a taco.

Salsa Verde Walking Taco ($18.99). Salsa verde Tostitos chips topped with birria, white queso, red onion.

Esquites ($8.99). Corn sliced off the cob topped with grated cotija cheese, cilantro and Tajin.

Horchata Churro Bites ($6.99). Horchata covered churro bites.

Modelo Bar (Dia de los Muertos, Upper Lot)

One of two Día de los Muertos bars, the Modelo Bar pours cocktails and micheladas.

The Downed Bride ($18). Citrus vodka, blue curacao, lemonade and vanilla with lemon popping boba pearls.

La Siguanaba Spicy Margarita ($18). Spicy watermelon habanero margarita with a chamoy and Tajin rim and a tamarind straw.

El Cadejo Mangorita ($18). Tequila, triple sec, mango nectar, lime juice, and agave topped with a chili-covered mango.

Muerte Michelada ($18). Modelo Especial or Modelo Negra, michelada mix with a chamoy and Tajin rim.

Margarita Bar (Dia de los Muertos, Upper Lot)

The second Día de los Muertos bar is all margaritas.

Pepino Margarita ($18). Tequila, triple sec, lime juice, agave and sparkling cucumber soda with a chamoy and Tajin rim and fresh cucumbers.

Pina Margarita ($18). Tequila, mezcal, lime juice, agave, and pineapple juice topped with a chamoy drizzled pineapple wedge.

Frozen Margarita ($16.50). Choice of lime, strawberry or mango.

Surfer Boy Pizza / Stranger Things (Studio Cafe, Upper Lot)

Stranger Things’ Surfer Boy Pizza sets up at the Studio Cafe, with a couple of Hellfire Club nods.

Surfer Boy Pizza – Pepperoni ($14.99). Personal pepperoni pizza.

Surfer Boy Pizza – Cheese ($13.99). Personal cheese pizza.

Hellfire Club Spicy Italian Sandwich. Spicy Italian sandwich with turkey, salami, pepperoni, provolone, banana peppers, red onion, lettuce and Calabrian chili aioli. I found it on the Lower Lot, and no price was posted.

Steve’s Smuggled Peanut Butter Bites ($8.99). Chocolate coated creamy peanut butter filling bites, with chopped peanuts and chocolate chips.

Studio Scoops (Hello Kitty Chucky, Lower Lot)

A Hello Kitty and Chucky crossover soft-serve stand at Studio Scoops.

Hello Kitty Chucky Strawberry Cheesecake Sundae ($12.99). Strawberry swirled vanilla soft-serve, strawberry topping and cheesecake pieces with a chocolate bow. My take: worth it if you like cheesecake.

Killer Snacks (Hellraiser, H-Lot Cart, Lower Lot)

Skin & Chips Nachos ($10.99). Spicy pork rinds topped with Tostitos nacho cheese sauce and Jack Links beef jerky.

Open the Box ($8.99). Sinisterly sour donut bites filled with a blue raspberry filling.

Mummy Eats (Evil Dead Burn, Lower Lot)

Evil Dead Burn’s lone savory item.

Severed & Smoked Chicken ($10.99). Smoked chicken quarter with a Sichuan chili crisp. My take: the healthiest pick, and the messiest.

One Wish Churro (Obsession, Upper Lot)

One Wish Churro ($8.99). A chocolate churro in a One Wish Willow box from the movie Obsession, sold only during Halloween Horror Nights. The box tells you to snap the middle and break it in half, and it reminds you that you only get one wish. Find it at the churro cart next to the Shrek theater on the Upper Lot, right outside the entrance to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I did not get to try it this time. Obsession’s Freaky Nikki also roams the park as a hidden character encounter.

Chocolate Raspberry Bloody Cookie ($6.99). Soft chocolate cookie filled with raspberry jam, topped with chocolate blood splatter.

Bonus: the Hami Kuma popcorn bucket

It is not food exactly, but the collectible popcorn bucket is part of the HHN snack run every year. The 2026 Hollywood bucket is a Hami Kuma “werebear,” a fuzzy monster teddy in a plaid scarf, and it refills like the park’s other souvenir buckets. If you collect these, it is worth grabbing early in the season.

Is it more expensive than Orlando?

Yes and no, and the split is worth knowing if you have done Halloween Horror Nights on both coasts. On the food items that appear at both parks, Hollywood is actually a little cheaper: the Death by Cheese Stick is $8.99 here against $12.99 in Orlando, the Severed & Smoked Chicken is $10.99 against $12.99, and Steve’s Smuggled Peanut Butter Bites are $8.99 against $9.99. Where Hollywood costs more is the drinks. The Pumpkin Spice Cold Boo is $10.99 here versus $10.00 in Orlando, and a single specialty cocktail is a flat $18.00, above Orlando’s $15.00 single-serve pour. At $10.99, that Cold Boo also runs more than a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte, which is the kind of math that makes a second one a hard sell.
