FX is hosting a free American Horror Story haunted house in Los Angeles this weekend, September 18 and 19, ahead of the September 24 premiere of American Horror Story: 13.
The walk-through, billed as “FX’s ‘AHS:13’ @ nya studios EAST,” runs at nya studios EAST at 1541 North Cahuenga Boulevard in Hollywood. It is open only to guests 18 and older and takes about 20 minutes.
Every Season, From Murder House to Freak Show
FX describes the experience as a “haunting chain reaction.” Guests activate each room in turn, Rube Goldberg-style, to advance toward a final reveal. The rooms move through all 12 past seasons, from the doorstep of the Murder House, through Asylum’s corridors, and into Freak Show’s carnival games, before a sneak peek at the 13th installment. Along the way, FX promises interactive challenges and scares pulled from across the franchise, which began in 2011. Expect mature themes, strobes, loud sounds, darkness, and scares. FX flags an attendee-discretion warning, and the space is ADA compliant.
Free Tickets, Hours, and Location
Admission is free, but it runs on timed-entry registration through Eventbrite, in 15-minute slots. Hours are 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday, September 18, and 2 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, and the pop-up runs only those two days. A standby line is available if your preferred slot is taken, though standby entry is not guaranteed. FX encourages rideshare to the Hollywood location.
American Horror Story: 13 Premieres September 24
The pop-up leads into American Horror Story: 13, which premieres September 24 on FX and streams the next day on Hulu. The 13th season drops the anthology’s one-story-per-season format and pulls characters from across its history into a single timeline, with returning cast including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts, and Evan Peters. The season runs 13 half-hour episodes through an October 29 finale. It is one of the fall’s marquee horror premieres in our Halloween 2026 streaming guide.
