Universal Orlando has confirmed two returning street experiences for Halloween Horror Nights 35 this fall: Mel’s Die-In: Zombies and Club Horror, both of which take over sections of the Universal Studios Florida streets between houses.
Street experiences are the mid-level programming layer at HHN, staged along the walkways of the New York, San Francisco, and Hollywood Boulevard sections of the park. They are not full scare zones and not full houses, but atmospheric roving takeovers with theming, live actors, DJs, and food and drink tie-ins where relevant.
Mel’s Die-In: Zombies
Universal’s tagline for the return is “Shake, Rattle and R.I.P.” Mel’s Die-In is a Halloween takeover of Mel’s Drive-In, the Universal Studios Florida diner in the Hollywood Boulevard section of the park. Universal’s description:
Zombie carhops have swarmed Mel’s Die-In, and they aren’t just here for the burgers.
Expect Universal to lean into the mid-century diner theming with zombie carhop actors, themed drinks and food from the Mel’s kitchen, and the street around the diner taken over for the experience.
Club Horror
Club Horror’s tagline is “Party Like Your Life Depends on It.” Universal’s description:
The streets of San Francisco have been transformed into Club Horror, where the DJ’s undead but the vibe is alive and well.
Club Horror takes over the San Francisco section of the park, the same block that has hosted street-experience parties in past HHN years, layering in DJ sets, dance-club lighting, and the undead-DJ conceit as the theme.
Where they fit in the HHN 35 lineup
Both street experiences run alongside HHN 35’s 10 haunted houses (nine announced so far, including new-for-2026 Evil Dead Burn) and the announced scare zones (Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, Sideshow of Decay, and the new dual-park Fortnitemares scare zone Freaky Fields) as the walking programming between houses.
Where and when to see them
Both street experiences run on all HHN 35 event nights at Universal Studios Florida:
- Dates: Select nights, August 28 through November 1, 2026 (48 event nights total).
- Location: Universal Studios Florida, Universal Orlando Resort.
