Johanna Parker’s new Halloween ceramics are in stores now, and the collection is spread across multiple stores. The 2026 collection spans three dozen new designs, and is in HomeGoods, Marshalls and TJMaxx.
If you have picked up a grinning black cat mug or a blush-cheeked ghost shaker in the last few years without knowing whose art it was, it was probably hers.
Who she is
Johanna Parker was born on Halloween. That is not a marketing line, it is on her own about page, and it goes some way toward explaining a career built entirely on friendly monsters.
She worked as an art director in TV news and won an Emmy there before leaving to make things with her hands. The business started in 2003 with a single papier-mâché piece: a grinning black cat head wearing an illustrated conical hat. That cat established the style she still works in, vintage-inspired folk art where the ghosts have rosy cheeks and the pumpkins look pleased with themselves.
She works from a cottage studio in Colorado with her husband, JP d’Andrimont, a craftsman who fabricates and helps art-direct. She has been featured in close to 40 national magazines. And Jack, the black cat who appears across the whole catalog, is a real cat who lives with them and inspired that first sculpt.
The pieces you find in stores are licensed reproductions. She also makes a limited number of one-of-a-kind originals each year for collectors.
What’s new for 2026
The Transpac collection covers teapots, mugs, canisters, candy bowls, and salt and pepper shakers. These are the new designs she has shown so far.
The Vintage Witch mugs are the headline, a pair of witches holding their pointed hats with pumpkin-peep bodies and a wash of vintage green on the skin. The Pumpkin Patch Black Cat Jack mugs put her cat on a bulbous jack-o’-lantern base. Kooky Spook Ghosts are salt and pepper shakers in pumpkin-peep gowns, and Romeo Ghost and Julie Boo are a second shaker pair, each holding a small black heart.
The two Big Mouth Bowls are the centerpieces. One is topped with Black Cat Jack in a warm mustard glaze, the other with Gus Ghost in distressed black and white. Parker says both are also coming in a smaller version, and the black one in orange.
There is also a Dapper Bat mug with a matching bat shaker, and Parker has said coordinating Dapper Bat pieces including a creamer and sugar pair are on the way. TJX also reordered a run of her past designs, so older pieces should be turning up alongside the new ones.
Where to actually find it
This is the part that trips people up, because her work reaches stores through different manufacturers, and each one lands somewhere different.
HomeGoods, Marshalls and TJMaxx get the Transpac ceramics, which is the main 2026 collection. TJX does not publish a catalog and does not list these online, so there is no way to check stock before you go. This is a store-by-store hunt, and it is why fan groups trade sightings.
Michaels carries a different tier: collectibles made by Bethany Lowe Designs, which are larger folk-art containers and figurines rather than tableware. Current prices there run from $76 for a Green Eyed Copper Cat and $78 for the Jackie Yell-O-Ween figurine, up through $83 for the Gourdy White-O-Ween container, $101 for Happy Plumpkin Jack, $117 for Jackie Green-O-Ween, and $123 for the Hagatha and Jack Spooks witch jar. Michaels also stocks a few Transpac items, including a Cat and Witch tea towel set at $33 and a four-piece character ornament set at $47.
Target carries a small selection of the Transpac accents: a Happy Jack soap dispenser at $33, the Cat and Witch tea towel set at $35, and the same ornament set at $49.
Worth noting if you are buying more than one thing: the tea towels and the ornament set are cheaper at Michaels than at Target, by $2 either way.
If you strike out
Older Transpac pieces circulate on Amazon, Walmart and eBay, usually above original retail. Bethany Lowe sells its Johanna Parker collectibles directly through its own Vintage Halloween storefront. And Parker sells originals and prints from her own shop, which is the only place to get work that is not a licensed reproduction.
One last thing worth knowing about the timing: she works roughly a year ahead, and has said she is already designing Halloween 2027.
