What’s New in 2026
Lincoln Mill’s 2026 season adds three all-new rooms, new characters and an all-new Mill Yard experience, according to its September 11 Instagram post. The Mill Yard is the open-air area outside the haunted house, with roaming characters, and every guest passes through a metal detector and a security checkpoint before entering it.

The layout changes every year with new props, characters and sets, and more than 50 actors work the haunt at any one time, Lincoln Mill’s FAQ says.
The Story of Viktor Kane
Lincoln Mill Haunted House calls itself a high-intensity, story-driven attraction, with live scare actors, special effects and detailed sets inside the Lincoln Mill, a textile mill that opened in Manayunk in 1860. Its FAQ says the story blends the mill’s real industrial history with the fictional legend of Viktor Kane.
Hurricane Ida flooded the real mill in September 2021. In Lincoln Mill’s legend, that flood revealed a hidden chamber in the basement, where human remains were found, and investigators traced them to the 1930s, when Kane, the mill’s owner, ran a Labor Efficiency Program. Workers who fell ill, got hurt or slowed down were taken to an infirmary in the basement and injected with serums and tonics, and those who broke down were taken deeper, to the Chamber.
“Lincoln Mill Haunted House isn’t just a walkthrough,” Jared Bilsak, the attraction’s cofounder and architect, said in February. “It’s an immersive horror experience rooted in story, atmosphere, and history.”
Built to Scare, Lincoln Mill’s documentary series on the videos page of its site, goes behind the scenes of building the haunt.

Ghost Tours of Manayunk
Ghost Tours of Manayunk is a guided walking tour Lincoln Mill added this year, along the Manayunk Canal to the mill. Guests carry EMF readers, the handheld meters paranormal investigators use, to search for unexplained energy along the way, and the tour draws on Manayunk’s textile mill history.
- Price: $42.
- Times: 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. and 8:45 to 10:00 p.m., on select nights through November 7.
- Route: it starts at Canal View Park, 4418 Main Street, follows the Manayunk Tow Path along the canal, and ends at the Lincoln Mill, 4100 Main Street.
- Booking: reservations must be made at least two hours in advance, and guests should arrive 15 minutes early.
- Ages: guests under 18 must be with a parent or legal guardian.
- Walking: tours run rain or shine, over uneven sidewalks and stairs, so wear walking shoes.

Getting There and Parking
Lincoln Mill is at 4100 Main Street in Manayunk, a historic Philadelphia neighborhood on the Schuylkill River.
- Train: SEPTA Regional Rail’s Wissahickon and Manayunk stations are both within walking distance.
- Uber and Lyft: Lincoln Mill asks riders to set 4050 Main Street as the destination, to avoid a busy intersection, and walk 100 feet to the entrance at 4100 Main Street.
- Parking: Manayunk has more than 700 spaces in lots across its commercial district. Spaces in the lot at 4000 Main Street are limited and sold in advance. The FAQ recommends the Parkway Parking lot on Venice Island, a 2 to 5 minute walk. Valet parking runs on Main Street after 6 p.m.

What to Know Before You Go
- Security: every guest goes through a metal detector and a security checkpoint, and weapons are not allowed.
- Bags: small fanny packs, clutch purses, diaper bags, medically approved bags, and clear or solid tote bags are allowed, none larger than 12 by 12 by 1 inches. Book bags, drawstring bags, camera bags and large purses are not.
- Touching: the actors will not touch guests, and guests may not touch the actors or props.
- Photos: no photos or videos inside.
- Age: there is no age limit, but the FAQ says the haunt is meant to be very scary, with many startle scares.
- Time: plan on 60 minutes or more from entering the complex, with the pre-show, food and drinks, and the haunted house.
- On site: it is indoors and open rain or shine, it is ADA accessible, and food, drinks, souvenirs and bathrooms are on site.
Lincoln Mill’s Christmas, Valentine’s and St. Patrick’s Haunts

Lincoln Mill also lists Darkness Rises, a Star Wars-inspired horror experience, with no date posted.
