The Monster Cereals have made it to the Halloween tree. Old World Christmas, the Spokane, Washington ornament maker hand-blowing glass since 1979, is selling Boo Berry, Count Chocula, and Franken Berry as glass ornaments at $27.99 each, and each character comes two ways: the monster itself, or its cereal box.
That makes six cereal ornaments in all. The character versions put each mascot mid-pose with a cereal bowl in hand, hand-painted and glittered, and per Old World Christmas each piece is “hand-blown into a hand-carved mold and hand-painted using techniques from the 1800s.” All six are in stock on oldworldchristmas.com as of this writing.
A Big Year for the Monsters
The timing lines up with the trio’s biggest year in a while. Monster Cereals are back on shelves for their 55th anniversary, with General Mills running the Jim Henson Company puppet designs on all-new box art and every box doubling as a build-your-own puppet. A blown-glass version of those boxes is the keepsake companion to a cereal aisle moment that is otherwise designed to be cut up and played with.

The Rest of the 2026 Halloween Line
The cereal monsters lead a 2026 Halloween drop that runs from classic spooky to genuinely odd. New this year: The Green Witch’s Hat at $24.99, a Shimmering Pink Bat at $21.99, Vampire Lips at $21.99, a Book of Spells at $27.99, a Potion Bottle at $24.99, and a Halloween Mr. Potato Head at $27.99. Per the company, there are nearly 80 Halloween-themed ornaments on the site in all, and orders over $75 ship free.
The Halloween Tree Is a Summer Project Now
Old World Christmas put out a release on July 30 built entirely around Summerween, the habit of celebrating spooky season in the middle of summer, and the numbers back the framing: the company says its first Halloween ornament order of 2026 was placed on April 23, about six months before October 31. The trend it is chasing is the Halloween tree, a dedicated tree trimmed in black, orange, and purple with figural glass ornaments.
“Summerween proves people don’t want to wait to decorate. They trim a Halloween tree in July because it’s fun, it brings everyone together, and starting early means you actually enjoy the season,” said Neal Applefeld, President and CEO of Old World Christmas. “Our ornaments are made to be kept, so the tree you start this summer becomes a tradition your family adds to for years.”
