Pumpkin is back at Playa Bowls. The new Jacked 4 Pumpkin menu includes three new items, now available at 400+ shops: Happy Pumpkin Acai Bowl, Apple Cinnamon Crunch Bowl, and Banana Cream Pumpkin Pie Smoothie. The Happy Pumpkin Acai Bowl is topped with a chocolate hazelnut jack-o’-lantern (for that extra touch of fall).

The Three New Items

The Jacked 4 Pumpkin menu rolled out September 9 at more than 400 shops across 32 states. Here is what is on it.

Happy Pumpkin Acai Bowl. The flagship: Playa Acai topped with blueberry flax granola, fresh banana fanned across the bowl, a dollop of non-dairy coco whip, and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice, with a generous pumpkin butter drizzle, finished with Playa’s newest chocolate hazelnut creation, the jack-o’-lantern that gives the bowl its grin.

Apple Cinnamon Crunch Bowl. Playa Acai with freshly diced apples, blueberry flax granola, walnuts, and banana fanned across the bowl, finished with a peanut butter drizzle and a dusting of cinnamon. Crisp apple, warm spice, and nutty crunch.

Banana Cream Pumpkin Pie Smoothie. A creamy blend of banana, blueberry flax granola, pumpkin spice, and organic coconut milk, layered over coco whip and swirled with pumpkin butter, for something between banana cream and pumpkin pie in every sip.

Pumpkin Returns After a Year Off

For regulars, the news is as much what came back as what is new. Playa Bowls skipped pumpkin entirely last fall, and fans noticed.

“Our guests made it clear that they missed pumpkin last year, and we listened,” said Danielle DeAngelo, Director of Research and Development at Playa Bowls.

Playa Bowls is the New Jersey–based acai chain founded in 2014, built around thick blended-acai bowls piled with fruit, granola, and drizzles, alongside smoothies and juices. A seasonal pumpkin run had become part of its fall rhythm, so a year without it stood out. The return also fits a wider 2026 pattern of chains reworking their fall lineups and deciding when, or whether, to bring pumpkin back. HAN is tracking every chain’s menu and when the pumpkin spice drops in its fall food and drinks guide.

Where and When to Get It

The Jacked 4 Pumpkin menu launched September 9 and is available at more than 400 Playa Bowls shops across 32 states. Playa Bowls sets prices by location, so the cost varies from shop to shop, and the company has not said how long the fall menu will run — so if pumpkin is what you came back for, it is worth grabbing while it is on the board. Check the Playa Bowls app or store locator for your nearest shop.
