Panera Bread is planting its flag firmly in pumpkin country this fall. The chain’s fall lineup lands nationwide on August 19, led by the returning Pumpkin Spice Latte and joined by new pumpkin drinks and bakery items.

“Only Panera can offer guests the complete pumpkin spice experience, from beverages to baked goods,” said Scott Uehlein, vice president of culinary at Panera Bread. “Whether it’s a refreshing iced drink or a sweetly spiced bite, Panera is the ultimate fall destination.”
The Drinks
The Pumpkin Spice Latte returns hot or iced, made with espresso, foamed milk, and pumpkin spice sauce under whipped cream and pumpkin spice crumbles. Two new drinks join it: a Pumpkin Spice Iced Coffee, made with a richer dark roast, pumpkin sauce, sweet cream cold foam, and pumpkin spice crumbles, and a Pumpkin Spice Frozen Java, a blended coffee drink and the newest addition to Panera’s Frozen Java platform.
The Bakery
On the bakery side, two new items arrive alongside a returning favorite. The Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll is sweet dough stuffed with cinnamon and pumpkin filling under pumpkin spice icing, and the Caramel Pumpkin Slice is a cake with pumpkin pie spices, brown sugar, vanilla, and salted caramel swirls, finished with pumpkin spice icing. The pumpkin-shaped, iced Pumpkin Cookie returns too.
The Pumpkin Side of a Split Fall
Panera lands squarely on the pumpkin side of a fall that has split in two. It doubles down on pumpkin like Starbucks and its corporate sibling Einstein Bros., which brought back its Pumpkin Bagel this year, while McDonald’s and Philz Coffee skip pumpkin for caramel apple. Panera Bread, Einstein Bros., and Caribou Coffee are all part of Panera Brands, so two of this year’s biggest pumpkin pushes share a parent company.
How to Get It
The fall menu is available beginning August 19 at Panera bakery-cafes nationwide, for dine-in, delivery, Rapid Pick-Up, and drive-thru. MyPanera members earn rewards on the seasonal orders.
