Krampus can hang on your Christmas tree in red this year. Sideshow’s Der Krampus (Deadly Red) Ornament is a $56, hand-painted portrait of the holiday monster with a fiery red face, and Sideshow lists it as ready to ship.

What the Deadly Red Ornament Looks Like

The ornament is about 6.5 inches tall and 5 inches wide, with a snarling face framed by a gnarled beard and curved horns, gold eyes, pointed teeth and a winding tongue. The red version has lightened hair and horns, a red face and a pink tongue. On the back, a gold-colored Sideshow seal sits on a red bow with bells and pinecones, and a black fabric ribbon at the top hangs it on the tree.

Sideshow limits the ornament to two per person, and its photos are of a prototype, so the finished piece may differ.

Der Krampus: Original vs. Deadly Red

The original Der Krampus Ornament now shows a waitlist on Sideshow’s site, at $58.24, which is $56 plus a $2.24 tariff fee. The Deadly Red page lists $56. Sideshow also sells a $600 Krampus statue and Krampusnacht art prints from $95 to $375, shown on the ornament’s page.

Who Krampus Is

Sideshow’s page says Krampus punishes naughty children with birch rods on Krampusnacht while the good ones get small gifts. He’s in the haunt world this season too: Krampus & Kin returns to Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas on November 19, and Monster High’s Krampus doll follows on December 3, in my Skullector story.
