Spirit Halloween’s official A24 Backrooms costumes are now available online. The retailer has posted all four pieces, a Captain Clark costume, the Green and Yellow Async hazmat suits, and an Async gas mask, with prices running from $12.99 to $59.99. All four are officially licensed and listed as new, and as of this writing they are in stock at SpiritHalloween.com.
The Four Backrooms Costumes and Their Prices
- Adult Captain Clark Costume ($59.99): the character look, with a long-sleeve shirt and oversized collar, a vest, pants, a belt, and Captain Clark’s signature hat. Shoes are not included, and it is rated for ages 14 and up.
- Adult Green Async Hazmat Suit ($54.99): a neon green polyester jumpsuit with long sleeves and a zipper closure, plus matching gloves. The mask and shoes are not included. Ages 14 and up.
- Adult Yellow Async Hazmat Suit ($54.99): the same jumpsuit-and-gloves set in bright yellow. The mask and shoes are not included. Ages 14 and up.
- Async Gas Mask ($12.99): a detailed plastic mask with an adjustable elastic strap, one size fits most. It is the piece that finishes either hazmat suit.
What the Hazmat Suits Look Like
The two Async suits are the ones most Backrooms fans will be after, modeled after the hazmat-suited crew from the series. Each is a full hooded jumpsuit, in neon green or bright yellow, with a clear face window, a zipper closure, and gloves, though you add the Async gas mask separately to complete the look. All four pieces are officially licensed, and Spirit lists the suits with a latex-allergy warning and a spot-clean care note.
The gas mask is sold separately at $12.99, so a full suit-plus-mask look runs about $68 before any shoes.
About the Backrooms
The Backrooms began online as a series of short horror videos set in an endless maze of empty rooms, and A24 has turned it into a film that arrives on HBO Max on September 25. We covered everything to know about the Backrooms coming to HBO Max. With the movie almost here, the Async hazmat suits are about the most on-theme costume a Backrooms fan could pull on this Halloween.
Where to Buy
All four costumes are available now at SpiritHalloween.com, and stock and pricing can change through the season. They are also turning up in Spirit Halloween stores, so if you would rather shop in person, check your nearest shop on the Spirit Halloween store locator.
