Seattle, WA — Starbucks’ black cat Halloween collection lands in select U.S. stores on September 15, a four-piece merchandise drop led by a matte-black cold cup with cats that glow in the dark and a Bearista plush dressed as a black cat. A Black Cat Frappuccino and a large, shareable black cookie follow on October 22.

The Black Cat Merchandise Collection

The drinkware drops first, and black cats run through every piece: etched across the cold cup, peeking into the pumpkin mug, worn by the Bearista plush, and, on the menu side, shaped into the chocolate cat ears on the Frappuccino. The collection mixes two ceramic mugs, a stainless-steel cold cup, and a plush bag charm. All four pieces reach select U.S. coffeehouses beginning September 15, while supplies last, and they range from $14.95 for the Bearista charm to $29.95 for the cold cup.

Black cat mug ($19.95): a pumpkin-shaped ceramic mug, listed at 12 ounces, with a curious black cat peeking in over the rim.

Cauldron mug ($16.95): a black 14-ounce cauldron mug, in Starbucks’ words “made for enjoying your favorite beverage (or potions!) throughout the Halloween season.”

Black cat stainless steel cold cup ($29.95): a matte black cold cup, listed at 23 ounces, covered in subtle black cat artwork that glows in the dark. At $29.95 it is the priciest piece in the collection and the only one with the glow-in-the-dark treatment.

Black Cat Bearista Plush Bag Charm ($14.95): the Bearista, Starbucks’ plush bear, dressed for trick-or-treating in a black cat costume over a green apron, with a dual-function keychain and bag-charm clip. At $14.95 it is the least expensive piece in the collection, and it joins Starbucks’ recurring Bearista plush line.

The Black Cat Frappuccino and Black Night Cookie

The menu side of the collection arrives later, on October 22, at select U.S. coffeehouses. The Black Cat Frappuccino is a Crème Frappuccino, so it is blended without coffee: a chocolate cake-flavored drink topped with whipped cream and a chocolate piece shaped like cat ears. The Venti Black Night Cookie is “a large, shareable black cocoa cookie with caramel fudge pieces and chunks of caramelized white chocolate.” Both are limited-time Halloween items, and both carry the theme forward, the Frappuccino through its cat-ear topper and the cookie through its “Black Night” name and dark cocoa base. Starbucks has not posted a price for either the drink or the cookie.

When and Where to Buy

The merchandise comes first, on September 15, and the Frappuccino and cookie follow on October 22, both in select U.S. Starbucks coffeehouses. Because Starbucks limits each date to “select” stores, availability will vary by location, and it lists the merchandise as available while supplies last, so the surest move is to check your local cafe once each date arrives. We will add the drink and cookie prices here after they reach stores on October 22.
