Atlanta, GA — Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s first Halloween menu item is an orange smoothie made with Fanta: the Fanta Phantom blends Fanta Orange syrup with mango, banana, nonfat yogurt, and cinnamon, and it’s topped with purple vanilla popping boba. It went on sale October 7 at participating cafes for a limited time, served in the chain’s first clear cup.

What Is in the Fanta Phantom Smoothie
- The smoothie: Fanta Orange flavored syrup, mango, banana, nonfat yogurt, and cinnamon.
- The topping: purple, vanilla-flavored popping boba.
- Calories: 370, according to the chain’s menu page.
- The cup: the chain’s first clear smoothie cup, so the orange smoothie and the purple boba show through.
For a limited time, the purple popping boba can also be added to any other smoothie on the menu.
The Fanta Phantom is the chain’s first smoothie made with The Coca-Cola Company, and “we knew we wanted to do something unexpected,” said Deborah von Kutzleben, chief marketing officer of Tropical Smoothie Cafe.

Fanta’s Ghost Face Punch, Dunkin’s Purple Foam, and Dairy Queen’s First Halloween Menu
Fanta’s Halloween soda this year is Ghost Face Punch, a dark berry punch with the Scream killer on the can, and Fanta is giving away 2,800 glow-in-the-dark Ghost Face masks through a daily online game that runs through November 1.
Dunkin’s Halloween menu is purple too, with a new Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam on five of its drinks. Dairy Queen also put out its first Halloween collection this year, on September 28, and Starbucks’ Black Cat Frappuccino arrives October 22, according to the calendar in my guide.
