Wendy’s Frosty Frights are back for Halloween 2026, and this year the collection comes with a rare chase figure. The Kids’ Meal toys return with 12 figures to collect, plus a secret 13th that is much harder to get. Wendy’s $1 Boo! Books return alongside them, on sale from August 31 through November 1.

The 2026 Frosty Frights toys

The 2026 lineup is all-new, with six original Frosty-inspired characters and six Halloween-colored variants, for 12 figures in total. Each Frosty Frights Kids’ Meal comes with one collectible while supplies last, and Wendy’s notes that the selection and availability vary by restaurant. This is the third Frosty Frights collection since Wendy’s launched the series in 2024. Seasonal, named food collectibles like these are part of a growing Halloween draw HAN detailed in our Halloween 2026 trends report.

Wendy’s has not released an official, labeled character guide, so the names circulating online are not confirmed. Its marketing does show the new designs, including figures that look like a ninja, a bat, a knight, and a furry monster. Attractions Magazine reports that collector posts identify the six characters by name, though Wendy’s has not verified them. For now, the safest move is to judge them by their designs at the counter.

The secret 13th toy: a 2,000-only Brain Freeze figure

The hardest figure to collect will not show up in any Kids’ Meal. For the first time, Wendy’s is putting a 13th Frosty Frights collectible, called Brain Freeze, behind Wendy’s Rewards. Rewards members can enter the Brain Freeze Rewards Drop on Friday, October 30 from 3 to 4 p.m., and only 2,000 of the figures exist.

Wendy’s has not spelled out the full entry process, so collectors who want a shot should set up a Wendy’s Rewards account and have the app ready before the one-hour window opens.

Wendy’s $1 Boo! Books are back too

Alongside the toys, Wendy’s Boo! Books return as a $1 Halloween tradition. Each book holds five coupons for a free Jr. Frosty plus one coupon for a $1.99 Wendy’s Kids’ Meal with purchase, and 90 cents of every dollar goes to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The free Jr. Frosty coupons are good in person through December 31, 2026.

Boo! Books are on sale from August 31 through November 1 at participating U.S. restaurants while supplies last. You can buy them in the restaurant, at the drive-thru, at a self-order kiosk, in the Wendy’s app, or online, and app delivery is an option in September and October.

The timing lines up with the end of Wendy’s Sonic the Hedgehog Kids’ Meal promotion, which was set to run through September 13, so some restaurants may switch from Sonic toys to Frosty Frights at different times.

For the rest of the season’s chain menus and drops, see our Fall Food and Drinks 2026 guide. Sonic Drive-In rolled out its Universal Monsters Wacky Pack toys the same week.

On the menu side this fall, Wendy’s is also skipping pumpkin spice for a new Apple Crumble Frosty Fusion.
