A free, immersive Scream pop-up is coming to Manhattan this October, letting fans 21 and older step into the franchise for its 30th anniversary with cider tastings, photo moments, and an appearance from Ghost Face actor Skeet Ulrich. The experience, called Angry Orchard Video, is built by Angry Orchard and staged as a 1990s video store. It runs October 2 and 3 at 188 Lafayette Street.
What Angry Orchard Video is
Angry Orchard is turning the downtown space into a nostalgic, ’90s-style video store built around the world of Scream. Guests get a customizable membership card printed with their photo that guides them through the store as they browse, and along the way there are hard cider tastings, exclusive Scream merchandise, and photo moments staged on famous scenes from the films. Angry Orchard built the pop-up with the Scream franchise and Fun World, the company that owns the Ghost Face copyright and trademark, timed to the 30th anniversary of the original 1996 film.
Skeet Ulrich and the Mystery Caller cider
Skeet Ulrich, who played killer Billy Loomis in the original Scream, will make a special appearance at Angry Orchard Video to mark the launch of Mystery Caller, a new Ghost Face-inspired cider in Angry Orchard’s Thriller Variety Pack. Ulrich tied the pop-up to the video-store era:
“Part of the magic of Scream was the time it came from, when going to the video store was part of the experience. It’s been incredible to see how different generations continue to connect with the franchise, and Angry Orchard Video brings fans back to that era while giving them a chance to step into the world of Scream in a completely new way.”
Dates, hours, and how to get in
Angry Orchard Video runs Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3 at 188 Lafayette Street in Manhattan. Entry is free and open to guests 21 and older, with reservations through Eventbrite, where Angry Orchard notes space is limited. The queue begins at 3:15 p.m. on Friday and at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, and the event runs into Saturday evening.
The Thriller Variety Pack
The pop-up is tied to Angry Orchard’s Scream cider collaboration, which is available nationwide. The Thriller Variety Pack comes in glow-in-the-dark packaging that reveals Ghost Face and the franchise’s line, “What’s your favorite scary movie?” It holds four flavors:
- Mystery Caller (new): a Ghost Face-inspired cider whose exact blend Angry Orchard is keeping a secret.
- Caramel Apple Curse (new): salted caramel and tart orchard apple.
- Blood Orange: apple, honeysuckle, and blood orange.
- Headless Pumpkin: apple, pumpkin, vanilla ice cream, and pie crust.
Angry Orchard is also selling limited-edition Scream-inspired Crisp Apple and Crisp Imperial single-serve cans, and it released a Mystery Caller promo film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.
John Dorman, Angry Orchard’s director of marketing, framed the collaboration:
“Scream is incredibly nostalgic for so many fans, and as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise, we wanted to bring that ’90s nostalgia to every part of this collaboration. From the VHS-inspired artwork on the Thriller Variety Pack to Angry Orchard Video, we’re bringing fans back to a time when picking out your next scary movie was just as memorable as watching it.”
A big year for Ghost Face
Angry Orchard Video is the latest piece of a busy year for Ghost Face licensing. Angry Orchard’s Thriller Pack cider, Ghost Face vodka’s blood orange sequel, a Fanta Ghost Face Punch, and Spirit Halloween’s Ghost Face lineup have all reached shelves in 2026, as the mask marks the franchise’s 30th year.
