The Spooky Pizookie is back at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse for 2026, the Halloween version of the chain’s warm cookie-and-ice-cream dessert. BJ’s is listing it at $11.49, dine-in only.
BJ’s announced the return on its Instagram, posting a reel of the dessert with the caption, “It’s baaack! Be sure to get the Spooky Pizookie before it vanishes.”
That answers a question a lot of people are asking this week, because if you go looking for it on BJ’s website, you will not find it. The Spooky Pizookie is not on BJ’s main dessert menu, which lists the seven standard Pizookies at $9.49 and the Pizookie Trio at $14.99. It has a dedicated menu-item page, marked dine-in only, and because dine-in-only items cannot be added to an online order, that page shows it as unavailable to order. The confirmation that it is back is BJ’s Instagram post and that menu page, not a spot on the regular online menu.
What Is in the Spooky Pizookie
Per BJ’s menu page, the Spooky Pizookie is a Cookies ‘N’ Cream cookie topped with Oreo crumbs and Halloween sprinkles, stacked with vanilla bean ice cream tinted orange, and served with what BJ’s calls a “transforming crackable chocolate topping.” That last part is the draw: warm chocolate poured over the cold ice cream sets into a shell you crack with a spoon, the moment BJ’s built its Instagram reel around.
Why It Is Not on the Online Menu
The Spooky Pizookie is a seasonal, dine-in-only item, and BJ’s treats its seasonal Pizookies as a separate category from the year-round flavors. BJ’s fine print notes that the $13 Pizookie Meal Deal is “not valid for seasonal Pizookie.” So the standard flavors appear in the online ordering flow and the seasonal one does not, which is why a search for it on the site can come up empty even when the dessert is being served in restaurants.
When the Spooky Pizookie Usually Lands
BJ’s first ran the Spooky Pizookie in 2023, when it debuted on September 28 as the chain’s first-ever Halloween Pizookie, paired with a $4.99 Pizookie Pass that gave holders one free Pizookie a day for three months. In 2024, it returned in late September as part of a wider Halloween menu that included the unLUCKY DUCKY cocktail, served with a witch-hat-wearing rubber duck, a Boo-Berry Sour, and an Orange Scream-Sicle float finished with gummy eyes. BJ’s has not said whether that broader menu comes back in 2026. So far the confirmed 2026 item is the Spooky Pizookie itself.
A Fall Entry in a Year of Limited Pizookies
BJ’s rotates limited Pizookies through the year. It ran an electric-blue Monster Pizookie this past spring, and the Spooky Pizookie is its fall entry. It arrives in the same stretch as a run of Halloween menu items at other chains: Wendy’s has brought back its Frosty Frights Kids’ Meal and $1 Boo! Books, and Applebee’s is pouring its Spooky Sips. Our 2026 fall and Halloween menu guide tracks the full set.
The Spooky Pizookie is a dine-in-only seasonal dessert listed at $11.49. BJ’s has not issued a 2026 press release for it, so for availability at a specific location, check bjsrestaurants.com or your nearest BJ’s.
