Los Angeles, CA — The Boulet Brothers’ Los Angeles Halloween Ball takes over all three floors of the Globe Theatre in downtown Los Angeles on Halloween night, Saturday, October 31, with a DJ set from Poppy, a stage show with human-sized marionettes, and a costume contest that pays $1,000. Tickets are $59, or $99 for VIP, and the party is for ages 21 and over.

Who Is Performing

The ball is the 26th annual edition, according to Boulet Brothers Productions, and it runs from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. The Boulet Brothers host it and perform in it. The bill brings together “horror drag, human-sized marionettes, voguing and burlesque,” Boulet Brothers Productions said.

  • Poppy plays the top-billed DJ set.
  • The Halloween Stage Spectacular has the Boulet Brothers, Rasputin’s Marionettes and their human-sized puppets, a vogue show from House of Ninja, and a Halloween burlesque revue from Jake Dupree.
  • The main floor has DJ Mateo Segade and the party HUMP Events, which the announcement says is bringing “an army of go-go monsters.”
  • The Basement of Sin has the party VICE, with DJs FLABBERGAST, Nite Crème, and DJ Naté.

“Halloween is the one night the rest of the world catches up with us,” the Boulet Brothers said in the announcement. “We want people to leave their everyday selves at the door and become whatever they’ve been dying to be. The monsters onstage are only half the show – we expect the audience to be just as unforgettable.”

The Costume Contest

The costume contest has a $1,000 cash grand prize. Past winners have gone on to be cast on The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, the announcement says.

Tickets and Prices

Tickets are sold on Ticket Tailor. On October 7 the ticket page listed:

  • General Admission: $59
  • VIP: $99, with entry through a no-wait line and access to the VIP mezzanine and its private bar
  • VIP booths for 8, 10, or 12 people: $900, $1,100, and $1,300, with VIP admission for each guest. Each booth also has a $638.75 drinks minimum, paid to the Globe Theatre at the event.

Both ticket types are marked “Advance,” the page does not list a later price, and all sales are final.

Who Are the Boulet Brothers?

The Boulet Brothers, who bill themselves as the Queens of Darkness, are horror hosts who created, direct, and host The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, which their announcement calls Shudder’s highest-performing unscripted original franchise. They also wrote and directed The Boulet Brothers’ Halfway to Halloween TV Special and executive produced the horror anthology The Boulet Brothers’ Holiday of Horrors.
