Moreno Valley, CA — Dead by Daylight: The Immersive Experience, a 45-minute walk-through based on the horror video game, opens Friday, October 30, at the Moreno Valley Museum & ArtSpace. Guests start in a museum of up to 12 of the game’s killers and finish by repairing generators to help survivors escape, with $36.99 tickets on sale for dates through January 3.
Dead by Daylight is a horror video game from Behaviour Interactive, first released in 2016, in which one player is the killer and four survivors work together to escape. Its maps include Silent Hill, the Raccoon City Police Station from Resident Evil and the Gideon Meat Plant, the lair of Jigsaw.
Inside the Three Acts
The walk-through runs 45 minutes in three acts, inside 5,000 square feet of large-scale projections:
- Act 1, Explore (18 minutes): an interactive museum of up to 12 Dead by Daylight killers, where guests can get close to them and taunt them. Then walls of “living flesh” close in, and the killers start hunting survivors all around you.
- Act 2, Get Immersed (12 minutes): guests race through the game’s worlds alongside the survivors, with killers closing in, toward the Exit Gate.
- Act 3, Escape (15 minutes): guests work together to repair the generators, restore power and help the survivors escape. As in the game, some survivors escape and others are sacrificed.

“Guests don’t just watch the story; they have to work together to survive it,” said Corey Ross, CEO of Lighthouse Immersive, which created the experience for the museum.
Dates, Times and Tickets
Dead by Daylight: The Immersive Experience opens Friday, October 30, and the ticket calendar runs through January 3. Entry times are hourly: on opening night they run from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m., and on Halloween, Saturday, October 31, from 12:30 to 9:30 p.m.
After Halloween, these are the open dates:
- November: 1, 2, 4 to 8, 12 to 15, 19 to 22, 27 to 29
- December: 3 to 6, 10 to 13, 17 to 20, 26 and 27
- January: 1 to 3

Standard admission is $36.99, the only ticket type on the calendar. Moreno Valley residents, military and students get 20% off with a code the museum sends by email.
Guests under 18 must be with an adult 18 or older. The museum advises parental discretion, because the experience has horror themes and surprises that may frighten some guests.
The Moreno Valley Museum & ArtSpace
The Moreno Valley Museum & ArtSpace is a new venue at 22550 Town Circle, created by the City of Moreno Valley and Lighthouse Immersive. Along with Dead by Daylight, it shows The New Immersive Van Gogh, and it has hands-on exhibits about the city, a shop and a café.

More Horror Video Games Built in Real Life
Dead by Daylight follows Resident Evil, which took over Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas from July 9 through September 27 with meet-and-greets, puzzles and a T-Virus-themed dining zone. In New Jersey, a real Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, the restaurant from the Five Nights at Freddy’s games, is set to open at American Dream in 2027.
In Plano, Texas, Dark Hour Haunted House runs a survival format called Dead by Dark Hour, and in January owner and creative director Allen Hopps said he was working on a mechanic borrowed from Dead by Daylight: a guest taken out of the group gets “hooked” and has to be rescued by teammates.
