The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy is a 90-minute evening where performers bring four of Poe’s stories to life while you drink a cocktail paired with each one, and it’s playing 16 U.S. stops this fall. A second show, Chapter Two, has four different tales and four new cocktails. Tickets start at $55 for guests 21 and up.

What Is the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy?
It’s a seated show that runs 75 to 90 minutes. Performers the show calls Poe Historians act out four of Poe’s stories, and a cocktail arrives with each one. Mocktails are available on request, and servers will swap a drink for allergies. Midnight Creative produces the show and tours it internationally, and tickets are sold only on Fever.

The cemetery edition moves the show inside Fairhaven Memorial Park & Mortuary in Santa Ana, among its Victorian monuments and historic mausoleums. It uses Chapter One’s stories, with Premature Burial, paired with the Coffin Cooler, in place of The Black Cat. It runs four nights only, Saturday, October 10, and November 5, 6, and 7, at 6 and 8 p.m., and Fever lists it at low availability.

Most stops run several shows a night, about every two hours, and some start in the afternoon.
Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy Tickets and Prices
- General admission, $55 to $69 depending on the city. It includes all four cocktails.
- VIP Front Row, $70 to $84. It adds front-row seats, with the same four cocktails. Front row is already sold out for the first show at many stops.
Some cities add a booking fee. Tickets are sold only on Fever, and the door sells tickets only if a show hasn’t sold out. You can transfer tickets for free in the Fever app. Tickets are generally non-refundable, but Fever’s support team may be able to move you to another date or time. There’s no military discount. Groups who buy separately can sit together if they arrive 15 minutes before the show.
What to Wear to the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy, and What to Know
- Dress code. The show recommends cocktail attire.
- Ages. Guests must be 21 or older, with ID.
- Timing. You can arrive up to 15 minutes before your show. Latecomers are seated during the breaks between stories.
- The room. Every show is indoors and seated, with restrooms and no strobe lights. Some venues have a pre-show bar, but no food is sold.
- Photos. Photos are fine without flash. Professional cameras and tripods aren’t allowed.
- Accessibility. Venues are ADA compliant and the show is accessible for deaf guests, but there are no accommodations for guests who are visually impaired.
- Parking. Paid lots are nearby.
Is the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy Worth It?
Chapter One has a 4.9 out of 5 rating from 369 reviews on its Peekskill ticket page, and Chapter Two has a 5.0 from 319 reviews on its Akron page. “What an amazing experience! The actors were so talented and the drinks were really yummy,” one guest wrote in January 2025.
Night of Poe Is a Different Show
Night of Poe is a separate Edgar Allan Poe cocktail show that also runs 90 minutes, also serves four themed cocktails, and is also for guests 21 and up. It adds live music and musicians to the storytelling, and it tours a separate list of cities.
