New Orleans, LA — Registration is open for Halloween & Party Expo 2027, which runs January 11 through 13 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in Hall H. The show returns to New Orleans, a former home for the expo, after the 2026 edition ran at The Expo at World Market Center in Las Vegas. The organizers are playing the homecoming, opening their registration email with “The Spirits are Stirring in the Big Easy” and describing the move as “the industry returns to New Orleans.”

What the Show Covers

Halloween & Party Expo describes itself as “the retailers’ one stop shopping destination for all things Halloween and Party,” with a floor covering costumes, accessories, makeup, novelties, and party supplies. It is co-organized by Clarion Events and the Halloween & Costume Association, the trade group that also runs the Spooky Awards.

That makes it a different show from TransWorld’s Halloween & Attractions Show, the haunt industry’s spring buying event. HPE is the retail and costume lane, and its floor is where an operator with a costume shop or a gift shop does that buying. Product launches happen here too: Fight Face launched at the show in a prior year.

Dates, Hours, and Location

The floor runs three days, per the show:

  • Monday, Jan 11: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Jan 12: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Jan 13: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The venue is the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Hall H, at 900 Convention Center Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70130. The organizers are pointing attendees at hotel booking now, and the exhibitor list is already live on the show site.

The January Buying Window

The date is the useful part for operators. An order placed on a January show floor is stock that has to arrive, get priced, and get merchandised before a September opening. HPE also lands about six weeks before TransWorld’s Halloween & Attractions Show, which runs February 25 through 28, 2027 in St. Louis, so an operator working both shows has the retail buy and the haunt build inside a seven-week window.

Registration and the exhibitor list are at halloweenpartyexpo.com, and our tradeshows and conventions calendar tracks every haunt and Halloween industry event through 2027. Show details per the organizers as of August 5, 2026.
