Stone Mountain, GA — Netherworld runs 35 nights for its 30th Season of Screams, opening Friday, September 18 and closing Saturday, November 7, 2026. The Atlanta-area haunt announced its two house themes on July 30: Curse of the Collector and Beyond Oblivion: Legacy of Evil. Ticket prices have not been announced. Full theme breakdown.
Every night of the 2026 season
Netherworld published its 2026 calendar as an image with no dates listed in text anywhere else on the site. Here is the full schedule.
| Month | Operating nights |
|---|---|
| September | 18, 19, 25, 26 |
| October | 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 through 31 |

Dark nights inside the run: Monday October 5, Tuesday October 13, and November 2 through 5.
The season builds the way it always does. September is Friday and Saturday only. The first week of October adds weeknights. From October 18 through 31 the haunt is open fourteen nights straight, including every night of Halloween week. Then it drops to a final weekend on November 6 and 7.
For comparison, the 2025 season also ran 35 nights, September 19 through November 8. The shape is the same, shifted by a day.
The 2026 house themes
Netherworld announced its 30th-season lineup on July 30. Both haunts are built out of the attraction’s history.
- Curse of the Collector. The Collector, a “primordial soul-gathering entity,” rebels against the masters of the Netherworld and tries to destroy the gateway between their realm and ours. He fights alongside the Brotherhood’s Frankensteinian warriors, werewolves, the Children of Autumn and his own discarded Husks, against gargoyles, gorgons, vampires, the Army of the Dead and the Undying. Scenes include The Invasion of the Gargoyles, The Colossal Undying, The Night of the Gorgons, Jack the Pumpkin Eater and The Battle of the Titans.
- Beyond Oblivion: Legacy of Evil. The Mangler returns for a final experiment powered by Oblivion, across laboratories, slaughterhouses, swamps and abandoned towns. Netherworld calls it the largest second attraction it has produced. Scenes include The Slaughterhouse of the Cryptids, Necrotech Labs, Hunted by Bigfoot, Madame Mystique’s House of Voodoo and The Bottomless Pit of Doom.
Co-creator Ben Armstrong: “Every season has added another chapter to the NETHERWORLD story. This year, we’re bringing those chapters together.” Our full write-up of the 2026 themes has both scene lists, the founders’ comments, and how the season connects to earlier years.
How tickets work
Netherworld sells timed entry tickets in half-hour windows. Your ticket is valid for one specific date and one specific window, and the window governs when you may join the queue for the main haunt, not when you walk in the door.
There are three things to understand before you buy.
Everything is date-and-time specific and final. No refunds, no returns, including unused tickets. You can reschedule up to six hours before your window, subject to availability, and if you move to a more expensive night you pay the difference. Move to a cheaper night and there is no refund. Miss your window entirely and the ticket is dead once the date passes.
There are two admission levels. A ticket to the main haunt only, or a combo ticket covering both haunts. Netherworld has run two haunts in recent seasons. Combo holders go through the second haunt at their own pace after finishing the first, same night.
SpeedPass skips the queue and is combo-only. It grants expedited, often immediate entry to both haunts, and it is not sold for single-haunt entry. Quantities per timeslot are limited.
Co-owner Ben Armstrong told HAN in 2022 what the switch was meant to fix. “We’ve gone to 100% timed ticketing,” he said. “Gone are the three-hour waits, they don’t exist anymore. One hour wait is probably the most you’ll get here, because we’ve really learned how to get people through the attraction, and we really learned how to stagger it.”
2026 prices have not been posted. For scale, 2025 ran $25 to $40 for the main haunt online, $35 to $50 for the combo, and $55 to $75 for SpeedPass, all before fees and tax, with walk-up rates a few dollars higher. Prices vary by night, with late-October weekends at the top of the range. We will update this page when 2026 pricing goes live.
One practical note: the ticket link Netherworld uses across its own FAQ and tickets page is currently dead. If you are trying to buy right now, go through the tickets page on their site rather than an old bookmark.
Know before you go
- Minimum age is 7. No exceptions, and carrying children through is not permitted. There is no child pricing.
- No costumes. Adult guests cannot wear costumes, masks, or props. Small children are the only exception.
- No photography inside the haunts. Outdoor areas and the midway are fine, and the roaming monsters will pose.
- Parking is free, in the lot in front of Mini Mall Storage at 2055 West Park Place Boulevard, across the street from the haunt. Take Exit 9 off Highway 78.
- Open rain or shine. The haunts are largely indoors. The queues are not. Umbrellas over a foot long cannot come inside.
- Actors do not touch you. Incidental contact happens. Deliberate contact does not.
- Wheelchairs are accommodated, and Netherworld provides one at no charge if your own is too large for the path. Motorized scooters are not permitted inside.
- Fog and strobes are used throughout.
- Not recommended if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, or are in poor health.
- Groups of 20 or more must arrange in advance through [email protected]. Weekend dates in mid-to-late October are typically blacked out.
Walking both haunts takes roughly 45 minutes once you are inside, plus queue time. Security on site is handled by Gwinnett County Police officers, with an off-duty firefighter or EMT on staff each night.
What has not been announced
Two things are still outstanding for 2026:
- Ticket prices and the on-sale date.
- Nightly hours, which vary by date.
We will update this page as each lands.
Why Netherworld holds its reveals this late
The 30th-season themes landed on July 30, later than most haunts of comparable size announce, and that timing is deliberate. Armstrong told HAN in 2022 that the secrecy is part of the product.
“Traditionally we don’t like to show off a lot of our behind-the-scenes, because we feel it creates a sense of mystery. I know a lot of attractions will show you literally everything in the haunted house. I don’t mind showing a few little tasty bits, but it’s like a trailer to a movie. A good trailer gives you an idea of what the story is about but doesn’t reveal the key beats.”
The themes are also not standalone. Netherworld runs a continuing storyline across seasons: 2021’s Rise of the Netherspawn set up a monster incursion, and 2022’s The Undying Horror was the next phase of the same assault, with a faction called the Brotherhood of Rhomb fighting back. Armstrong traces the habit to a specific place. “There’s this thing people heard about called Dungeons and Dragons,” he said. “So, like 45 years ago, I was playing that game when it first came out. So, you could call this, you know, one of the biggest D&D campaigns ever.”
About Netherworld
Netherworld was created in 1997 by Billy Messina and Ben Armstrong, both veterans of film and television, and moved to its Stone Mountain location in 2017. It is a self-guided walk-through built on practical effects, animatronics, and heavy creature work rather than licensed IP, and it has been named a top haunt by Hauntworld, Fangoria, Dread Central and USA Today’s readers’ choice awards.
Armstrong described the house’s sourcing to HAN in 2022. “Netherworld Haunted House is about monsters, it’s about crazy things,” he said. “We don’t tend to follow trends of things like movies, we’re more based on literary sources, we’re based on mythology, and we just like to do things that other people don’t do. One of our big influences for theming is HP Lovecraft.” That is why you will not find a licensed film property here in a season when most large haunts are running at least one.
The operation is large. A WSB-TV Atlanta behind-the-scenes segment we covered in 2024 put it at more than one hundred scare actors, makeup artists and managers working each night.
Beyond the haunts, the site runs a Halloween midway with photo ops, games and food, the House of Creeps monster museum, and five year-round escape rooms sold separately.
HAN contributor Scott Swenson walked it in 2024 and reported back on the podcast. “For those of you who have never experienced the Netherworld haunt, it is one of the most grand haunted experiences I think I’ve ever been through,” he said.
We interviewed co-owner Ben Armstrong on location during a Netherworld Lights On Tour for a full season recap on the podcast, and his casting philosophy runs through our guide to becoming a scare actor.
Netherworld is at 1313 Netherworld Way, Stone Mountain, GA 30087.
