About Gantom Lighting Controls
Gantom makes compact lighting fixtures and control systems for themed entertainment. Its founders, Quan Gan, Jerry Dong and Charlie Xu, started in 2010 under the name Darklight, building the lighting for Shanghai Nightmare, the haunted attraction they owned, and the company took the name Gantom in 2014. The name joins Gan, from a founder’s name, with phantom, a nod to its Halloween origins.
The product line includes the Gantom One and Gantom DMX V2 fixtures, the Precision Z spot and flood, PowerPak power supplies and DMX distribution boxes. Gantom serves theme parks, museums, haunted attractions and more, and its fixtures are built to hide in plain sight inside scenery while running at low voltage.
The company won the IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best New Product in 2011, and its Torch interactive lighting technology won a Thea Award in 2016. Gantom is a member of IAAPA and the Themed Entertainment Association. It lists offices in Valencia, California, and Orlando, Florida, and it distributes products to the haunted attraction market through Fright Props.
