Poison Props builds custom, build-to-order Halloween animatronics – pneumatic and electric monsters engineered to scare and built to last, sold wholesale to the public and shipped to haunted houses and theme parks worldwide.

The company’s signature is sound. Founded in 2007 by Adam Johnston – a two-time Emmy-winning sound designer for film and television, as the company bills him – Poison Props mounts high-powered speakers in the chest of each prop wherever possible, so the sound travels with the figure and brings it to life. Every prop ships with labeled, plug-and-play control boards, preset air regulators, and heavy-gauge steel construction with grade 8 bolts, bushings, and bearings – built to run fast and violent without slamming, season after season.

The catalog spans haunt staples from clowns, creepy kids, and electrocution gags to zombies, werewolves, and full autopsy and butcher scenes, all built to order with quick turnaround (order early ahead of your event). Poison Props is a regular on the TransWorld Halloween & Attractions Show floor, and its props and Adam Johnston’s sound-effects library are now sold through FrightProps, which operates the Poison Props storefront.
