Cold Stone Creamery’s Boo Batter, its Cake Batter ice cream turned black, is back through October 31 in three forms: mixed with Kit Kat, Halloween Oreos, and M&M’s, blended into a shake, and wrapped in an orange waffle taco. At one Los Angeles store on October 1, they ran $9 to $11.

For every chain’s Halloween menu, see my Fall and Halloween Fast Food 2026 guide.

Boo Batter Prices at One Store

On October 1, the online menu for the Cold Stone in Northridge, a Los Angeles neighborhood, listed these prices, which Cold Stone’s announcement leaves out:

  • Treat or Treat: $9.00 for the Like It size, $9.19 for Love It, and $11.00 for Gotta Have It.
  • Witches’ Boo: $9.00 for Like It and $10.00 for Love It.
  • Boo Batter Ice Cream Taco: $11.00, the same price as that store’s regular Waffle Ice Cream Taco.
  • A sample of Boo Batter: $0.99.

The same menu has a Halloween item that is not in the announcement: a Scaredy Cakes 6-pack for $21.99, chocolate cups filled with devil’s food cake, fudge, and Boo Batter ice cream.

Cold Stone’s stores are run by franchisees, so check your own store’s menu before you go.

The Same Lineup as 2025

All three items are repeats: Cold Stone’s October 1, 2025, announcement lists Treat or Treat, the Witches’ Boo shake, and the Boo Batter Ice Cream Taco with the same ingredients, for the same October 1 to 31 dates.

“Boo Batter has become a fun tradition that our guests look forward to each year,” said Courtney Maxedon, VP of Marketing and Digital Strategy at Kahala Brands, Cold Stone’s parent company.

More Halloween Ice Cream

Dairy Queen’s first Halloween collection, the Spellbound Series, has a purple ube-flavored Oreo Blizzard through November 1. Taco Bell and Salt & Straw’s Churro Ice Cream Taco is $3.99.

Cold Stone’s fall flavors, Crumb and Get It and Going Bananas for JELL-O Pudding, are still on its limited-time menu next to the Boo Batter items.

Boo Batter is at Cold Stone Creamery locations nationwide through October 31. To find a store, visit ColdStoneCreamery.com.
