Halloween Horror Nights 14 at Universal Studios Singapore has four haunted houses, three shows, and two scare zones on select nights through November 1. I went on Thursday, October 8, on the S$290 R.I.P. Tour. This guide walks through the whole night, from the Scaremony to the last house after midnight, and what the tour does and does not include.

Is the Halloween Horror Nights Singapore R.I.P. Tour Worth It?
The R.I.P. Tour is worth S$290 if you want the rides as well as the houses. Ride waits ran from 30 to 90 minutes the whole night I was there, and the tour comes with Express Unlimited, which covers rides and houses for the two hours between the end of the tour and closing.
For the houses alone, the S$89 Express pass is enough, and late in the night I did not need it. House waits were 60 to 90 minutes early in the evening on a Thursday, a non-peak night. After 11:30 p.m. they were five minutes or less, and I walked through all four houses a second time.
The tour has no reception, and its S$25 dining voucher covers one meal, so eat before you go.
What the R.I.P. Tour Includes
The R.I.P. Tour is the event’s guided VIP tour. It is not a private tour, and a group holds up to 12 people. Resorts World Sentosa’s ticket page lists these inclusions:
- One Halloween Horror Nights admission ticket
- A three-hour guided tour
- VIP access during the guided tour
- Halloween Horror Nights Express Unlimited, for the houses and selected attractions before and after the guided tour
- S$25 in Halloween Horror Nights 14 dining vouchers
- A 10 percent discount at select in-park food and retail outlets
- Priority access to the Scaremony show
- A private meet-and-greet with a selected character and a 6R photo
- One R.I.P. Tour lanyard
- One retail merchandise gift
On my 7:30 p.m. tour, the priority access was a private viewing area at the front of the Scaremony crowd, and the group also had reserved seats for Club PanDEMONium at 8 p.m. The guide walked us straight into each house. The merchandise gift was a paper hand fan printed with the event’s art.
The tour has no reserved spot for Nail the Beat, the dance show in The Raveyard, so I left the group a few minutes early to catch the 10:35 p.m. show. Riding Revenge of the Mummy with the group meant using the park’s regular lockers, which took time out of the three hours.
The tour ends at a private photo stop with one of the event’s characters, and you pick up the printed photo on your way out. The photo spot was dark, and I got better pictures with the performers at the stage outside.
Universal Orlando’s 5-House R.I.P. Tour starts at $299.99 and does not include event admission, as I reported in my Halloween Horror Nights tickets guide. Singapore’s S$290 includes the admission ticket.
How My R.I.P. Tour Night Ran
- 6:45 p.m.: Check-in opens at VIP Reception. Check in early.
- 7:30 p.m.: The Scaremony, about five minutes, from the private viewing area.
- 8 p.m.: Club PanDEMONium, a 30-minute show, in reserved seats.
- After 8:30 p.m.: Made in Hell: XL Robotics, then a second house at 9 p.m.
- 9:05 p.m.: Chatterbox Charlie’s Vaudeville Horrors, about two minutes long, then ten minutes to walk through a scare zone.
- 9:30 p.m.: Karang Guni: The Cursed Collection.
- After the houses: Revenge of the Mummy, where guests who did not want to ride waited for the group, then the private photo stop.
- 10:30 p.m.: The tour ends, and Express Unlimited covers the rest of the night until 12:30 a.m.
The Four Haunted Houses, Ranked
Each house runs about three minutes, a little shorter than the houses at some other parks, and my longest walk was 3 minutes 40 seconds with the line stopping inside. All four have detailed sets and solid effects. The park does not allow filming inside, so the photos here are of the entrances.
1. Made in Hell: XL Robotics
Made in Hell: XL Robotics is my pick of the four, set in a bioengineering and robotics facility that is chasing artificial immortality, with rebels, machines and human test subjects colliding inside it. The scenic design is great, and the performers use the space to hide and startle you. They do not rely on yelling.
The closest house in the United States is Cybergoria at Halloween Horror Nights 35 in Orlando, another story about machines and immortality, which I ranked sixth of that event’s 10 houses.
2. Karang Guni: The Cursed Collection
Karang Guni: The Cursed Collection is the house the event’s story is built around. The Karang Guni man is Singapore’s rag-and-bone collector, a familiar figure who once roamed the neighborhoods collecting old and broken things, and here every object in his shophouse carries a curse. The lighting is good, with dynamic lighting in some scenes. The performers were the weakest of the four houses on my night.
3. Singapore’s Most Haunted: ON AIR
Singapore’s Most Haunted: ON AIR is the third year of the event’s Singapore’s Most Haunted series. It is set in an abandoned broadcast studio, where old sets replay local legends under a red “ON AIR” light.
4. Chatterbox Charlie’s Vaudeville Horrors
Chatterbox Charlie’s Vaudeville Horrors gives Chatterbox Charlie, a ventriloquist who was a scare zone character last year, and his dummy, Junior, a haunted house. It is fun, and at about two minutes it is the shortest of the four.
The Three Shows: The Scaremony, Club PanDEMONium, and Nail the Beat
The Scaremony opens the event at 7:30 p.m., and it runs about five minutes. It introduces the event’s characters, in a story about vloggers chasing views, and nearly everyone in the park lines up for it.
Club PanDEMONium is a 30-minute stage show in the park’s theater at 8 p.m., 10 p.m., and midnight. It is built on the seven deadly sins, with an act for each one, and performers bring guests up on stage. It plays like Halloween Horror Nights meets a Las Vegas variety show meets Bill and Ted. The content is on the mature side, and the show’s sign carries an Advisory 16 label.
Nail the Beat is a dance-off on the stage in The Raveyard between HamiKuma, the teddy bear from Universal Studios Japan who is at every Universal Studios park this Halloween, and Ponti-Ana, a new character for Singapore. It runs at 8:35 p.m., 10:35 p.m. and 12:05 a.m. The dancing in both stage shows is some of the best I have seen in a theme park show.
The Two Scare Zones: The Raveyard and Necropolis
The Raveyard is a graveyard turned into a rave, and it is the more popular of the two zones. The performers pose and play along with guests for photos and video, and the zone has photo spots and a paid photo booth, at S$15 for two photo strips or S$20 for two multiframe prints.
Necropolis: The Serpent’s Crossroads is the Ancient Egypt zone by Revenge of the Mummy, ruled in the park’s story by a character named Sasu Soul Eater. It has a performer walking inside a giant spider, a costume that blew my mind.
The park sells a Kiasi lanyard for guests who want fewer scares. Its sign says the lanyard limits scares in common areas and scare zones.
Halloween Horror Nights Singapore Food: What I Ate and Every Menu Price
I ate four things, and the food is theme-park food dressed for Halloween. It was not as good as the food at Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando, and it was about level with the food at the Hollywood event.
- Skulls & Shrooms Truffle Pizza Combo, S$23: one slice of mushroom pizza on a charcoal crust, one Hellfire Cheese Meatball, and a 16-ounce soft drink. My S$25 voucher covered it.
- Black Truffle Moon Bowl, S$14, or S$18 with a pint of beer: Indomie goreng noodles in a cheese sauce with chicken karaage, chicken sausages and a fried egg.
- Pumpkin Patch Massacre, S$12: pumpkin spice soft serve with caramelized apples, cookie crumbs and raspberry sauce.
- Mummy Stuart Pistachio Ice Cream, S$14: a pistachio ice cream bar shaped like a Minion, sold in the park’s Minion area.
The prices below are from the park’s menu boards on October 8. The boards state that prices are subject to GST and a service charge.

Wait Times and the Best Time to Go
House waits were 60 to 90 minutes in the first hours of my Thursday visit, and by 11:30 p.m., the crowd had thinned out. After midnight, while the last shows were running, every house was a wait of five minutes or less. Ride waits stayed at 30 to 90 minutes until closing, so Express PLUS and the R.I.P. Tour are for guests who want the rides.
The event is smaller than the Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood. One night covered all four houses twice, all three shows, both scare zones and dinner.
Halloween Horror Nights Singapore Tickets and Prices
Halloween Horror Nights is a separate ticket from daytime admission to Universal Studios Singapore. Resorts World Sentosa lists these prices, and tickets are sold on its Halloween Horror Nights 14 page.
- Non-peak night: S$68. The non-peak dates are September 25 and 26 and October 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 15 and 16.
- Peak night: S$78. The peak dates are October 10, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31 and November 1.
- Express: S$89, to skip the regular queue once at each of the four houses.
- Express PLUS: S$119, to skip the regular queue once at each house and once at nine rides, including Revenge of the Mummy, Battlestar Galactica: Human vs. Cylon and Transformers The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle.
- Frequent Fear Pass: S$156, for every event night.
- Frights for Two: S$250 for two people, with a 6 p.m. preview of two houses without scare actors.
