Orlando, FL — Universal is bringing you into a dystopian cyborg-filled future with a new original haunted house, “Cybergoria,” for Halloween Horror Nights 2026.

From Universal: “Just Announced: Cybergoria. Awaken thousands of years in the future in this haunted house and brave a cold world driven by machines with a singular goal: to make you live forever, even if it kills you,” Universal said in its announcement on the @HorrorNightsORL social channels.

What is Cybergoria?

Cybergoria’s backstory centers on a corporation called “Bio Immortal Bionic Intelligent Systems,” which offered customers immortality on the condition that they be cryo-frozen until the technology to deliver eternal life caught up. The company never delivered. Its intelligent facility, left to “make do with its resources,” began fusing human and robot parts to keep living tissue alive.

The walkthrough takes guests through the freezing process, into a future where man and machine have melded, and then outside the facility “to see what’s become of the world,” show director and house creator Matthew Flood told GameRant in an exclusive interview at the announcement.

Flood described the haunted house as “fully integrated and kind of alive,” with audio, lighting, and character presentation at a next level.

About the Design

Flood compared Cybergoria’s intensity and approach to Universal’s “Insidious: The Further” house from 2024. “It was received as a very scary house and we’re applying the same kind of thinking to this one,” he told GameRant. “It becomes both a very unsettling house from the subject matter, but then also really aggressive and highly integrated.” He confirmed gore is used but said the goal is “a cool event that people want to come back to” rather than something “shocking in an unsettling, upsetting way.”

He teased two specific design techniques. The first is a set of mirror elements that “enhance the space in a way that becomes both confusing and large.” The second is a small recurring character element he said he is curious whether guests will latch onto.

Halloween Horror Nights 2026

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 marks the event’s 35th anniversary under the theme “Infernal Carnival of Nightmares,” with Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow returning as co-icons. Cybergoria joins three other original concept houses revealed for the 2026 event, the Jack & Oddfellow icon house, H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!, and Madlands: Caged Cannibals, alongside IP houses based on the Ryan Coogler film Sinners and Netflix’s Stranger Things drawing from the show’s fifth and final season. Four houses remain to be announced.
