Emeryville, CA — Pumpkin season starts at Peet’s on Tuesday, August 19, when the chain’s fall menu lands nationwide with three new Vitality Protein Smoothies, a pumpkin lineup crowned with Vanilla Dream Top, and three fall food items including a chicken sausage sandwich on a pretzel bun.

Part of our Fall Food and Drinks 2026 guide.

The Vitality Protein Smoothies

The smoothies are the biggest addition, each blended with 14 grams of whey protein.

  • Caramel Apple Protein Smoothie — Granny Smith apple puree, whole milk, and a drizzle of buttery caramel. Peet’s calls it “creamy and decadent.”
  • Cold Brew Protein Smoothie — oat milk, banana, and ice blended with Peet’s Baridi Cold Brew, for anyone who wants caffeine and protein in the same cup.
  • Strawberry Protein Smoothie — strawberry and banana purees blended with milk.

The Pumpkin Drinks

Peet’s is topping its pumpkin drinks with Vanilla Dream Top, the brand’s whipped cold foam.

  • Iced Pumpkin Matcha Latte with Vanilla Dream Top — pumpkin over matcha, served iced.
  • Pumpkin Cold Brew with Vanilla Dream Top — cold brew under the same vanilla cap.
  • Pumpkin Latte — Peet’s Espresso Forte and steamed milk with “the indulgent rich flavor of pumpkin pie,” finished with a sprinkling of spices. Available iced or hot.
  • Pumpkin Chai Latte — pumpkin against Mighty Leaf Masala Chai, which Peet’s describes as “infused with warm ginger, cinnamon, and clove spices.”
  • Sparkling Green Apple Energy — Granny Smith apple puree, club soda, and plant-derived caffeine, about 80mg per drink, which Peet’s notes is a little less than a cup of coffee.

Vine & Walnut Autumn Blend Is Back

The seasonal bag returns as Vine & Walnut Autumn 2026, a medium roast at $24.95 per 16-ounce bag. Peet’s built this year’s version around a Costa Rican coffee fermented with actual sticks of cinnamon, a process called co-fermentation, blended with wet-hulled Sumatra and natural-process Guatemala. The listed notes are cinnamon bark, dried fig, and clove. The last order date is October 20.

The Food

  • Pumpkin Bread with cream cheese icing — the seasonal loaf slice, iced.
  • Mini Bacon Biscuit Bite — a golden-toasted mini biscuit with crispy bacon and a spread of harvest apple, cheddar, Neufchatel cheese, and caramelized onion.
  • Home Harvest Pretzwich — cranberry jalapeno chicken sausage in a warm pretzel bun with fontina and what Peet’s calls a “Thanksgiving” spread of Neufchatel cheese, sage, thyme, mustard, and caramelized onion.

When You Can Get It

The full menu is available at Peet’s coffeebars nationwide starting August 19, and several of the drinks are already listed on Peet’s coffeebar menu. Starbucks brings its Pumpkin Spice Latte back August 25, so Peet’s is six days ahead of it this year.

The fall coffee calendar keeps creeping earlier, right alongside the rest of the season’s food. IHOP put pumpkin pancake tacos on the menu, Krispy Kreme rolled out its fall collection, and Chick-fil-A went with s’mores instead.
