Spirit Halloween’s new 6-foot-10 Pennywise animatronic is already sold out online. Tied to the series IT: Welcome to Derry, the $299.99 clown bends into a bow and plays Pennywise’s official laugh, and Spirit lists it as restocking soon.
A 6-Foot-10 Pennywise That Bows and Laughs
The animatronic stands 6 feet 10 inches tall and is built around the blood-soaked Pennywise from IT: Welcome to Derry, with a detailed sculpt and costume Spirit says are drawn from the series. It is motion-activated by an infrared sensor: when someone comes close, the body bends forward and the arms open into a slow bow while the mouth stretches into a wide grin and plays Pennywise’s official laugh audio from the show. A built-in volume control and an external speaker jack let you set how loud the laugh carries.
It is a big prop. Spirit lists it at about 28 pounds and roughly 83 inches tall by 36 inches wide, it ships as an oversize item with an extra shipping fee, and Spirit recommends keeping it indoors or on a covered porch. Setup runs about 10 minutes, and it works with Spirit’s separately sold step pads and other external activators, which let haunt builders trigger the bow on cue in a walkthrough.
Sold Out at $299.99, With a Restock Coming
The Pennywise animatronic is $299.99. As of mid-September it is sold out on SpiritHalloween.com, where the listing reads “Restocking Soon,” so the move is to check back or watch for it to return. Because it is an oversize item, an added shipping fee applies even with a shipping promo.
