Spirit Halloween’s stores closed for the season on Monday, November 2, the closing date for 1,547 of the 1,587 stores on Spirit’s locator, and their store pages now read “Closed for Season.” Spirit’s online store stays open year-round, and Spirit Christmas opens 38 stores on Friday, November 6.

Is Spirit Halloween open right now?
No, Spirit Halloween’s stores closed for the season on November 2, and 39 of them closed two days earlier, on Halloween. Spirit’s online store at spirithalloween.com stays open year-round, and its end-of-season clearance there is up to 50% off select items for a limited time.
Spirit hasn’t posted a 2027 opening date, and its home page says stores “begin to open as early as July.”
What were Spirit Halloween’s hours?
Hours were set store by store, but most followed one pattern. On October 10, most store pages on Spirit’s locator listed:
- Sunday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Some stores kept shorter hours, and the hours grew after September 23, when most pages listed a 10 a.m. opening and a 9 p.m. close on most days.
When does Spirit Halloween close for the season?
Almost every Spirit Halloween closed for the season on Monday, November 2, two days after Halloween. That was the closing date in the store data for 1,547 of the 1,587 stores on Spirit’s locator, and one store, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, closed November 1. Spirit’s entire store was 50% off in person from November 1 until the stores closed, and the online clearance is up to 50% off select items, in my Halloween clearance story.
The other 39 closed on Halloween itself, Saturday, October 31. They were in New York (5), Illinois, Michigan and Pennsylvania (4 each), Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts and Ohio (3 each), Connecticut, Tennessee and Virginia (2 each), and Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey and South Carolina (1 each). How the 2026 season started
Spirit’s season started on Saturday, August 1, with the grand opening of its flagship store at 6725 Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Our flagship grand opening coverage has the full day.
Spirit’s August 18 release said more than 1,550 stores were opening across North America. The count above is what Spirit’s store pages showed on October 10. The 2026 in-store theme is Camp Harbor Lake, an abandoned-camp setup inspired by campfire tales and 80s horror, built out at select stores.
