About Alobar’s
Alobar’s Lighting and Sound rents and runs lighting, sound and video equipment for events from its base in St. Louis, Missouri. Its staff handles each job from an initial consultation through the design phase to the event itself.
The lighting and special effects inventory includes up lighting, dance floor lighting, stage wash, cafe lighting, gobo image projection with custom monograms, cold spark machines, confetti cannons, snow machines, fog machines and bubble machines. The sound side covers active and passive speakers, wired and wireless microphones, mixing consoles, subwoofers, amplifiers, DJ equipment and generators. Video rentals include projectors, indoor and outdoor projection screens, LCD displays and live streaming equipment.
The company lists corporate events, auctions, weddings, private parties, school functions, dance recitals and fashion shows among the events it works. Diane Stecher began her career with Alobar’s in 1991 and became president and owner in October 2006, when past owner James Winn retired.
