Jason Voorhees is now a popcorn bucket. Cinemark is selling a $39.95 Jason mask bucket online, a hockey-masked bust of Camp Crystal Lake’s killer that hinges open to hold your snacks, with a limit of three per customer.

What It Is

The bucket is a bust of Jason in his hockey mask, the cream mask with red chevron markings over green-collared shoulders, and the top of the head lifts open on a hinge to reveal the container inside. It holds 85 ounces, is made of plastic, and is hand wash only, measuring about 8.6 by 8.3 by 9.3 inches (item no. F13-APB-0926). Cinemark’s listing calls it a limited-edition collectible that pays tribute to “Camp Crystal Lake’s most infamous resident.”

Price and How to Get It

The Jason bucket is $39.95 at Cinemark’s online shop, where each customer can buy up to three. Cinemark lists it as shipping within a day, within the United States. All sales are final: it is non-refundable, cannot be cancelled, and is excluded from promotional discounts. The shop lists it online only, and the page does not say whether it will also turn up at theater concession stands or whether any popcorn is included. It joins a small line of collectible buckets in Cinemark’s shop, including a Harry Potter briefcase bucket at the same $39.95.

A Jason Comeback, and a Popcorn-Bucket Boom

The bucket arrives as Jason returns to screens. Peacock’s Crystal Lake, a Friday the 13th prequel series with Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, premieres October 15, and the killer is back in the merch aisle too: Pabst Blue Ribbon recently released a Jason 12-pack that folds into a wearable hockey mask.

It also fits a bigger trend. Elaborate character popcorn buckets have become a booming collectible category at movie-theater chains, from Regal’s lipstick-faced Insidious demon head to Universal Studios Japan’s back-worn Resident Evil Licker. Sculpted as a bust, the Jason bucket is a display piece as much as a snack holder, and at three per customer it is Cinemark’s entry in that lineup.
