Hong Kong — Jackson Wang, the acclaimed rapper, singer, and songwriter, is building an original haunted house at Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2026, which runs September 5 through November 1.
The first-ever collaboration is based on “Under the Castle,” the horror IP Wang co-created, and follows a string of Halloween events Wang produced across Asia. The haunt’s debut in Hong Kong marks Wang’s return to the very place that inspired the horror IP.
Wang is a Hong Kong-born musician who went solo after debuting with the K-pop group GOT7, and he founded the fashion label Team Wang Design in 2020. Under the Castle came out of that label. He has said he walked Ocean Park’s Halloween haunted houses as a teenager with his childhood friend Henry Cheung, now Team Wang Design’s chief executive, and that those visits gave him the ambition to build a haunted house of his own. He has since built one in Shanghai, one at Universal Studios Singapore, and one in Bangkok.
Inside the Castle at The Summit
The castle goes up at The Summit, the hilltop half of the park reached by cable car, and runs on selected dates in October rather than the full season. Ocean Park describes an ancient castle environment built around the brand’s “signature dark, gothic aesthetics,” with a walk through a “gloomy nightmare-scape” where “every corner is a perfectly designed photo spot.” Limited-edition versions of the characters Pumpkie and Spookie debut at the Fest. Ocean Park has since detailed the rest of the zone. Beyond the walkthrough, the Under the Castle area includes a SnapGenie AI photo booth, an Into the Mirror levitation spot, a Phantom Lounge dance floor, a bumper-car dark ride called Bumper Blaster, and a game booth with Hong Kong-exclusive prizes.

Ocean Park has since confirmed the format: Under the Castle is a walkthrough haunted experience that sits inside that larger zone.
Who Is Jackson Wang?
Wang was born and raised in Hong Kong and got there by an unusual route. He was a competitive sabre fencer who represented Hong Kong internationally, including at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, before moving to South Korea and debuting in 2014 as a member of the K-pop group GOT7 under JYP Entertainment.
He founded the Team Wang record label in 2017 and has since charted three solo albums on the Billboard 200: Mirrors at 32 in 2019, Magic Man at 15 in 2022, reported at the time as the highest-charting album by a Chinese artist, and Magic Man 2 at 13 in 2025. His Magic Man World Tour ran across four continents, and the MAGICMAN 2 tour drew close to 35,000 people across three sold-out shows at Galaxy Arena in Macau in October 2025.
In 2022 he became the first Chinese solo artist to perform at Coachella, as part of 88rising’s showcase. He returned in 2023 for a 50-minute solo set where he brought out Ciara, and again in 2024, making him the first Chinese singer to play the festival three times.
In 2020 he founded Team Wang Design, the luxury streetwear label where he serves as creative director and lead designer.
Under the Castle’s Origins
Cheung, who co-founded Team Wang Design with Wang, told The Straits Times that the two of them have loved Halloween since they were children. He publicly referenced a planned major expansion at Ocean Park back in November 2024, which was the first outside signal that this collaboration was coming.
Under the Castle grew out of Team Wang Design’s SPARKLES KNOCK KNOCK collection in October 2022. Pumpkie, a pumpkin brought to life on Halloween, and Spookie, a mischievous ghost, are established characters with their own story. They explore a cursed castle in their village. What debuts at Ocean Park are limited-edition versions of them, per the release’s wording.
Four Cities in Four Years
Ocean Park is the fourth city to host a physical Under the Castle build, and each one has been larger than a single haunted house.
Shanghai, 2023. The IP took physical form for the first time as a concept space and haunted-house experience at C.PARK, soft-opening October 8 and officially opening October 14, with a carnival market and a Halloween night parade attached. A character named LULU was introduced there.
Universal Studios Singapore, 2024. Under the Castle became a haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights 12, running September 27 through November 2, and was widely covered as the first Chinese IP to get a house at a Universal Studios park. Team Wang billed it as the largest house at that year’s event. Blooloop reported the house contained Easter eggs from Wang’s Magic Man album.
Shanghai, 2024. A Halloween pop-up store ran through November 30, alongside a Sparkles Under the Castle carnival.
Bangkok, 2025. The build moved to EMSPHERE from October 7 through November 2 with a haunted house, a bumper-car zone called Mischief Ride, a night market, a mini bar, photo booths, and an apparel drop. A third character, Mischief, appeared in the Bangkok marketing.
Merchandise has accompanied every activation so far. Ocean Park has not said whether that continues in Hong Kong.
The Comic and Animation Plans
Under the Castle is built to outlive the events. A comic book, Under The Castle: The Birth of Pumpkie, launched on October 13, 2024, with a Wang signing at the S.E.A. Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa, and it was positioned as the first in a planned series with animation to follow. MERCY Creatives, which produced the haunted-house trailer animation, developed the Pumpkie and Spookie origin story for that extension.
Wang has framed the goal as building a character universe that reaches children the way Mickey Mouse and The Simpsons reached earlier generations.
Ocean Park’s Halloween History
Ocean Park has been running Halloween since 2001. The event debuted in October 2001 as the Halloween Bash, billed as the first theme park Halloween event in Southeast Asia, with four haunted attractions across two weekends and more than 150,000 visitors. It rebranded to Halloween Fest in 2013. By 2018 it was running 11 haunted attractions and calling itself Asia’s largest Halloween celebration.
Six haunted houses was the standard in 2024 and 2025, and the 2026 edition, The Grave Rave, runs four. The 2024 edition, Horrors of the Hidden City, took its theme from the Kowloon Walled City. The 2025 edition, Unbox the Cursed Collection, ran September 6 through November 2 with six houses and ten performances, and the houses operated on 13 day-and-night dates from October 10 through November 2.
The park’s collaborations have skewed local until now. Law Lan has been the event’s long-running icon, the Pang Brothers built a maze from The Child’s Eye in 2011, and 2025 brought Sanrio and Panda Friends crossovers. A global music-celebrity IP is new ground for the event.
Music IP at Haunted Houses
Ocean Park is not the only park building a house around a musician. Universal has announced Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness for Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood this season, built from Osbourne’s solo catalogue. Osbourne died in 2025.
Universal Studios Singapore, the park where Under the Castle ran in 2024, has done it too. The Weeknd: After Hours Til Dawn Nightmare was built from that artist’s After Hours and Dawn FM albums, following earlier Weeknd houses at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood. This season, Halloween Horror Nights 14 Singapore runs September 25 through November 1 with four houses.
In Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland has not yet announced its 2026 Halloween dates or lineup.
Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2026: Dates, Tickets, and Lineup
Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2026 runs September 5 through November 1, 2026 at Ocean Park, Aberdeen, Hong Kong. The Under the Castle experience is at The Summit on selected October dates.
Ocean Park has since revealed the full lineup. The 2026 event is themed The Grave Rave and runs four haunted houses: Under the Castle, AEON Card Presents: Voodoo Boo Terror Park, Orion Beer Presents: Troublesome Night 8, and Forbidden Asylum, alongside stage shows, street performers, and family activities. For reference, 2025 pricing ran HK$238 off-peak and HK$280 peak for a trio combo of three houses, and HK$130 for a single house, and Halloween Fest houses are not included with general admission.
