After years of Freddy Fazbear haunting screens, theme parks, and every Halloween aisle, Spirit Halloween is finally bringing him home. The retailer’s first-ever life-size Freddy Fazbear animatronic from Five Nights at Freddy’s is real, priced at $499.99, and set to arrive when Spirit’s flagship store opens August 1, 2026 in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, with additional stores following.
Spirit teased Freddy on July 15 with a two-word social post — “We’re watching you” — and Freddy’s now-famous glowing eyes gave the tell.

What the Freddy Fazbear animatronic does
The Freddy Fazbear animatronic is life-size and does what any Five Nights at Freddy’s fan is going to want it to do. Freddy raises both arms and lifts a microphone up to his face. His eyes light up and track side to side. His torso sways. And he plays Five Nights at Freddy’s game audio, including a light-up eye pulse timed to the “Toreador March” music-box theme that fans instantly recognize from the games.
In the flagship-store display, the animatronic is triggered by a Fazbear paw-print step pad on the floor. Step in front of Freddy and he wakes up.
Per Spirit’s official feature list, a servo motor drives the arm-waving motion, the body sways on an inner spring, and the LED digital eyes light up with moving pupils. Freddy “stands 6 ft. 6 in. at tallest point.”
When and where to get it
Spirit’s flagship store in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey is set to open August 1, 2026, with the rest of the seasonal chain rolling out after that. Update, August 3, 2026: Spirit has confirmed the animatronic is an in-store exclusive with no online purchase option. A Spirit Halloween store is the only place to buy one: there is no product page on spirithalloween.com and no shipping option, and searching the site lands on a dedicated Freddy page with a store locator button where the add-to-cart button would normally be. Per Spirit’s official page, the animatronic is “available exclusively in-store” and “inventory is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.” The $499.99 price is from in-store signage, verified at the flagship opening.
Spirit Will Not Promise a Restock
Update, August 6: asked about more units, Spirit Halloween said on X that it is “actively evaluating whether additional inventory may become available.” The company would not commit further: “any future restocks depend on production and logistics with our vendor so we are unable to guarantee that more units will be received at this time.”
Spirit does not use the words sold out in that statement, and it gives no date, quantity, or store list. What it does establish is that the retailer is fielding restock questions and is pointing at its vendor’s production and logistics as the constraint rather than promising more stock. Spirit’s Freddy page has not caught up: as of this writing it still reads exactly as it did at launch, with “Limited quantity available in select stores only,” and carries no restock notice either way. For anyone still hunting one, that leaves the store locator and the resale market as the only two routes.
What They Are Actually Selling For
Update, August 4: when we first covered pricing, resellers were asking up to $3,650 with no completed sales on record. The sales have now happened.
At least ten completed eBay sales of the animatronic went through on August 3 and 4, per eBay’s sold listings. Most landed between $2,500 and $3,800 plus shipping, with several clustered at $3,200 to $3,500. The top confirmed sale was $3,800 or best offer plus $300 delivery for a new-in-box unit, and the low outlier was $1,100 plus $300 shipping.
Two of the ten show a struck-through list price with a best offer accepted, at $3,350 and $3,500, and eBay hides the accepted amount on those, so their true prices ran lower than the displayed figure. Even reading the data conservatively, a $499.99 in-store animatronic is completing sales at six to seven times retail within days of release. On Mercari the life-size Freddy is still not listed at all; the closest Mercari item is a 7-inch display replica for $50. At those numbers, a store trip wins: $499.99 at retail beats every completed sale on the board.
Getting Freddy Home
Freddy’s box is a project of its own: 2 feet 8 inches wide, 4 feet 8 inches tall, and 55 pounds, per Spirit. The retailer suggests an SUV, minivan, pickup truck, large crossover, or station wagon with fold-flat seats, and says to “Bring a second person to help with lifting, carrying, loading and unloading.” Spirit’s store locator is the tool for finding a location. A Real Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Is Coming
The animatronic is not the only way Freddy is leaving the screen. American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey has announced a permanent Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza restaurant opening in 2027, developed with ScottGames, with animatronic stage shows, an arcade and multiplayer survival-horror experiences.
Freddy at Halloween Horror Nights
The Fazbear reveal lands after two years of Freddy building a real theme-park footprint. Universal Orlando debuted Five Nights at Freddy’s as a Halloween Horror Nights 34 maze in 2024, and Universal Studios Hollywood ran Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Place as a marquee HHN maze in 2025 — the same year Universal put Freddy front and center at Midsummer Scream in Long Beach. Between the two HHN events, guests walked through Fazbear’s Pizza with animatronic scares of the four core FNAF characters.
Spirit’s $499.99 in-home version is the natural next step for a Fazbear fandom that has been queuing up for the HHN experience two Halloweens in a row. If you did not get in line for the Hollywood or Orlando maze, this is the closest you can get to the Fazbear Pizza stage in your own living room.
The show stage
Spirit’s flagship display sets Freddy on a Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza-style show stage complete with red curtains, a brick backdrop, speakers, and an illuminated FNAF sign. Reports out of the flagship note that the show-stage backdrop seen in-store is a display fixture rather than a standard-issue accessory — an optional stage background may be sold separately, but Spirit has not confirmed that as a bundled part of the $499.99 animatronic.
